Amazon answered my basil prayers!
I use tons of fresh basil, but unfortunately options available on Amazon Fresh so far were rather disgraceful. What’s the convenience of having your groceries delivered if you still need to go to the store to get basil?I was absolutely ecstatic to see that this basil is added to the inventory. I’m familiar with the brand and it’s hands down just the best basil you can get in the NYC supermarkets. It’s not only fragrant and perfectly fresh, but it’s also packaged by people who know what they are doing. Leaves are dry and never crushed, so it stays fresh for a long time.As soon as I opened my bag the fresh basil scent filled my kitchen. Perfection!

Not so terrific basil!
Well, I don't like to criticize a product and maybe the company is not in complete fault, however, when I received my basil twice from the same Fresh market, the package was flimsy and the basil was not fresh. So, the company and the Fresh market failed me. I will not buy this again. It is better for me to spend the time looking for basil in person to check for freshness! I think basil goes to waste so quickly that stores cannot keep up with the expiration date. Perhaps basil companies could purchase an airtight storage container to keep freshness in its product.

Smells Amazing
Of all the different fresh basil I’ve purchased this one has the best quality & flavor. Every chance I can get a package I do. I use it on my omelettes, soups & pasta dishes. The aroma is intoxicating when you open the cover.

Fresh and perfect for delicious vegan pesto
Fresh and mostly leaves. I make a delicious easy 5-minute pesto with it: dump all the basil into a Cuisinart; add 1/3 cup walnuts, 1/3 cup olive oil, 3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast and 3 cloves garlic. Blend and voila. Non vegans can't believe how delicious this is. And it's super healthy.
