Unlike some of those fake leather products, JerFit is real leather. They form fit to your hand and washing may change that form. **Q: There are three separate size charts on this item (one in the pics above, two in the description) which are slightly different. Which is correct?** A: I used the measurements from the picture above, not the picture in the description, and it was spot on. It looks like the written size in the description matches the picture above. **Q: Has anybody tried climbing rope with them? Looking to use these during training for spartan race** A: I would not recommend JerkFit Grips at all. Go with Bear Komplex Grips and you will be satisfied. Not sure how any grips will do with rope climbing since the rope will likely cause a twisting motion on the grips. For rope climbs you may want to go with gloves. **Q: Do you need to chalk them up?** A: I chalk both sides of them (the side that contacts your hand and the side that contacts the bar). I’ve found this keeps them from sticking to your hands and helps them glide on the bar when you loosen your grip. I’ve had these for about a year and a half and use them a few times a week.
