Orange Seal Regular Formula Bicycle Tire Sealant for Road, Mountain Bike, CX, BMX, and Tri Bikes

I've used Stans' Sealant for the last 2-3 years without problems, but lately I had a tear on my tire open up (I think it was a tear from when a screw went through it) and sealant went spewing everywhere. I had to add the 2oz bottle I keep on my bike as a just-in-case and the seal closed back up (after spewing out most of it). Thought I was safe. Nope! The next day the tear opened back up and the rest of sealant spilled out, which required me to add another 2 ounces. It sealed up again after spilling most of the backup bottle onto the road. That night I took off the tire, carefully cleaned it out, inspected the tear area (looked fine?) and then made sure to add more sealant, but this time I shook the hell out of the Stan's bottle before I added the sealant. The next day the seal opened up AGAIN on my way home. So ... within the span of a week I went through 8-10 ounces of Stans and the tear kept reopening randomly. I'd be riding along and suddenly hear the hiss of escaping air and look back and see milky sealant dripping from the fender.The tire I was using cost 60 bucks and only had a 1500 miles on it and I was about to shell out for a new one when I decided to give Orange Seal a chance. I poured in 2 ounces and pumped up the tire and guess what? No problems. I've been riding on the tire for a week straight and the tear has yet to open up. Considering how many chances I gave Stan's, and how many times Stan's failed me, I'm pretty impressed that all it took was a small bottle of Orange Seal to save my tire.

This stuff works. I have used others that did not. Who knew? I actually cleaned out the old stuff that did not work and put this in and it did. Same tire, Same leak, different product. Get this brand.

So far, the tire sealant works as described. I check my sealant monthly to ensure I have an adequate amount in the tire. I’ve noticed that I’ve had at least 3 to 4 holes in the rear tire of my Cervelo Solist road bike, and one in the front tire that could have resulted in a flat. You can see where there was a damp spot where the sealant sealed the hole, preventing a flat tire. This has been particularly important in the Arizona climate, which is full of thorns, and our roads often have gravel like many American highways, making flat tires a regular occurrence.With the introduction of tubeless tires and sealant, I haven’t experienced a flat in a long time. It gives me confidence to know that the sealant is doing its job, and that if I ride through gravel or even light glass, my tires should hold up. So far, I’m pleased with the sealant.

I started using Orange Seal this year after starting with Stan's years ago and moving to a few years of my own Homebrew sealant. Here in the desert, Stans would dry out in about 45 days and need reapplication, and my brew lasted only a little longer. Orange Seal lasts at least 90 days (the longest I have dared to go) and could last longer in the heat. I just remarked to a friend who also uses Orange Seal, that I have not had one flat or need to use tire plugs since I mounted my current tires (one is tubeless ready, the other not). That is 900 miles of thorny, rocky desert in 7 months! He experienced the exact same thing. I also noticed no tire burps, it seems to glue the tire to the bead. Only complaint, is that it will gum up the presta valve cores in about 2-3 months making tire inflation (I raise or lower psi based on terrain often) tough. The solution is buy a 10 pack of valves from Tubo on Amazon for like $10. Its worth it and not a deal breaker at all. So far Orange Seal gets two thumbs up followed by a round of applause.

Had multiple flats and this sealant absolutely works. It will generally seal holes <3mm in size. However, I find that in dryer climates such as here in Southern California, that the sealant doesn't last long inside the tire. It will dry up after 3 weeks and you will have to add another 30ml of sealant.The more sealant you add over time, the more buildup you will get inside your tire and it will feel heavier and the efficacy for the sealant to cover punctures will be less and less. It's essential after maybe 3 or 4 times of adding sealant that old sealant is taken off the inside of the tubeless tire. You can expect that if you have a lot of dried sealant that it will be harder and a challenge to remove from the tire.

So far this has worked out well for me. I've used Stan's once, and it was fine and had no problem with it. My only complain with Stan's was the smell. This stuff has a more pleasant odor and it has saved me a few times on the road. I still carry a tube just in case, but i'm very confident in orange will take care of most things i may run into.

So far, I've been very happy with this stuff. In the past, I've used Stans and I've had small punctures where the stans was just spit out of the puncture and the tire went flat. I also had to keep inflating the tires if I went more than 2 wks between rides. Also, stans kept drying up and turning into a ball. So I decided to try this product...Now... Product stays liquid in the tire, no more dried up stans balls.I immediately started seeing many little bubbles on the tire from the new sealant filling holes (why didn't the stans fill these?)I no longer have to re-inflate tires between rides (still have to re-inflate if I have months between rides).No real cons. The product is a little more expensive than Stans and it doesn't go very far for larger mountain bike tires (running schwalbe 2.35" 27.5 tires). However its better than having your ride ruined due to a flat.

My son and I have mountain biked together for 12 years now. This year, he is going to be racing in a high school NICA leage - and I will be an assistant coach for the team. We've discussed tubeless setups before as a way to decrease or possibly prevent flats.We did a little more research on the subject and decided to go with OrangeSeal for the sealant. We've had the tires set up for a short time now, and have been on a couple of rides. So far - so good!The OrangeSeal product was easy and fast to get through a Presta valve with core removed. We encountered no issues of clogging - in fact, the sealant went in so fast that we had to be careful to not put in more than 4 oz. per tire (we started with the 8 oz. bottles with hose and fitting).Our tires had several small holes from previous incidents (thorns, etc). The sealant sealed the holes very, very quickly. You can hear the air coming out and rotate the wheel to get sealant to that spot and instanlty, you hear the leak stop.I will come back and update this review after a longer time of usage.

I liked the fact that it sealed up a puncture and I did not have to walk home!

Have used at medium pressures on two road bikes around 70 to 85psi without issues. If you find your tyres losing pressure quicker than expected - TOP UP! Cannot say it work any differently to Stan's standard one though. Seems to get good reviews from various sites.
