As an animal rescuer for more than 20 years I’ve bought a LOT of crates of all kinds for both airline and vehicle transport use as well as in the home. When I downsized to a MINI for road transport it became very difficult to get my other airline crates in my vehicle; I needed one that was 23” high or less so it didn’t have to be assembled inside the vehicle and that had a secure way to attach the clamshell halves that was easier on the fingers and preferably the wire ventilation because dogs can chew through the hole-in-the-plastic kind. THIS kennel fit all the criteria perfectly and even had extra bonus items. The sides have easy-snap latches that can be locked PLUS holes for the wing nut bolts or zip ties for extra security. The latches alone are fine for my car transport use and make it easy to break down to nest in itself afterward. The wire ventilation windows are sturdier and safer. This model has detachable wheels AND a handle at both ends so it’s easy to maneuver for storage or along the airport concourse to inspection. The wheels can pop off with the push of a tab, no tools needed, or be secured with screws if that’s going to best suit how you’ll use it. This is one of the very best quality crates I’ve ever bought and also includes two small bowls and “LIVE ANIMAL” stickers and checklist for airline use. Even better was that it was available for $80 as a new-used item (box had minor damage, product was perfect). Thank you to the seller for such a great product that helps save lives and to Amazon for making it half the cost what this would be locally so I have more money for vet bills. Excellent value!

Great kennel! Several things I thought to share: - Easy to put together, slightly misalligned in one corner, but doesn’t make a difference as it’s still secure. - It rolls very easily. The only thing that they might try to improve on is brakes on all four wheels rather than just the front ones. - The wheels are easy to remove and put on. However, it’s a bit difficult to put the wheels back on if your dog is inside (like mine was). He’s only 20lbs or so and I got the large because he’s a slightly long boy. But it’s a bit difficult when you have noodle arms and no one to help. - It comes with two plastic but sturdy dishes. A bit on the smaller end for a larger furrbaby, but if they’re flying, it’s good enough. Might be a bit difficult for flat-nosed furrbabies though. - The handles on top are a great addition. You can use it to roll the kennel around, making it virtually weightless in the airport. I used a leash and looped it around the handle for easier pulling with my stubby noodle arms. But if you’re lifting it, it’s a bit bulky but light enough for me (remember, noodle arms and arm span of almost nothing - AKA 5’2” at 115lbs). - The inside is spacious, and has grooves on the bottom around the kennel, incase they go have an accident. I’d recommend a peepad and an absorbant (or waterproof, depending on your preference. I chose absorbant so it can dry and he’s not sitting in his accident for several hours.) blanket. Most airlines say small blanket, but I was able to get away with a pretty big one because it’s dips down a bit when your furbaby goes into the kennel. All-in-all, a great product if you have to send your baby via cargo, and they won’t allow you to take them into the plane. Highly recommend for the price point.

My dog is absolutely terrified of single door crates. It was a huge fight to get him into one and then he was stressed to the max. This double-door crate was the answer! He jumped right in and laid down. Maybe because the crate has a more “open” feel to it? Don’t know but I love, love, love this crate. The extra storage on top and the wheels make it a dream to take to dog shows. I am constantly asked where I got it. Only wish you made this style of crate in a larger size as my puppy has now grownup and it is a snug fit for him so he is only in it for short periods of time. He doesn’t seem to mind though!

My 90-pound European Doberman loves this crate! He can stand up in it (ears not cropped) and it is plenty big for him to lay down comfortably. I purchased a pad for him too. This kennel comes with all metal fasteners, clips for initial attaching, zip tie holes, food and water bowls, wheels, handles, stickers for labeling, a checklist, and a requirements listing. I purchased two--one to use in the house and one for traveling. I was a Petmate Vari Kennel fan but have experienced problems with the doors, had plastic fasteners with no clips, and did not have zip tie holes. It also did not have handles nor provision for wheels. The Petmate also required that the food bowls and stickers be purchased separately. Amazon did an excellent job of delivering in their box truck (not the typical delivery vehicle). Both crates arrived undamaged and will all of the parts. Perfect.

My birds hang around in a free room and have no cage and I'll never get one for them. But I wanted something to serve as a secure and spacious means of transport to and from vet and other times where they need to be taken with me somewhere. They also are very good for emergencies. PROS (1) Very easy assembly and disassembly. 10 clamps that can easily be detached and reattached connect the two halves of the unit, but also can be locked or unlocked increasing the security. (2) Selection of screws reinforcing the clamps during travel add yet additional layer of security. This is required if you are traveling by air but as is, for birds, the clamps suffice very nicely and create a super tight seal and connection. (3) Wheels are a BIG plus (removable AND lockable). Better still it features 2 handles at the top. All crates of this size including the ones by the Petmate feature neither and they are many times more expensive. (4) It is made in a form factor of largely straight sides. Other creates have curved sides which wastes space and don't serve any purpose. (5) Feeder bowls fit snugly on to the metal door. Each unit comes with 2. Comes with a certificate stating that everything from bowls to the unit is animal safe and non toxic. But parrots can chew and tear plastic as part of their habitat of exploring everything they see around them and I recommend swapping them out for a stainless steel equivalent. There is a danger of a bird ingesting plastic otherwise. Since some stainless steel can contain lead or be non-verifiable as being foodgrade by obscure brands, I use my own nontoxic ceramic food grade feeder bowls inside stainless steel holders. (6) Suitable for parrots' transport, spacious and comfortable. The other crates, specially the ones made by Petmate feature open holes in the plastic invite birds to chew and play with them so they are not an ideal choice to be adopted for parrots. I imagine dogs can also chew on them. This model has none, eliminating the worry that the bird may be ingesting any plastic. Finally, a lot of room to hang my handmade wooden toys for them to chew on if they wanted. It also has very good air circulation. (7) Very sturdy and well made. Much better than the ones made by competition, even the ones that are close to this size. The door only opens from one side but it is very secure and can be made even more tamper proof with locks. Suitable for travel by air. Also comes with stickers that reads live animal. CONS (1) A stainless steel alternative to plastic bowls would be preferable. A perfected version of this crate for parrots would eliminate few sharp corners that birds can chew on. Again far better than alternatives but still not perfect. There are stoppers and protrusions build at the front and also the exterior frame in the front may encourage parrots to start chewing on specially during breeding season. (2) A touch heavy, but then when you come to think of it, it couldn't have been made any lighter given the size of the unit. Again two handles and wheels help a lot with transport.

Easy to put together, great size for a large breed puppy. Love the wheels and handles making it easy to transport the kennel.

I like this carrier. Before I bought it some of the reviewer said it doesn't come with fasteners although it has holes for it. I want to let you know as of 6/2026, this carrier does come with fasteners. The wheels are very easy to take on & off. I wish the water & food bowls should be bigger & more steady, but they are easy to replace. Overall, this is a good carrier.

Excelente calidad, no había visto este tipo de kennel con llantas que se quitan y ponen, tan bien reforzado. Pronto lo pondré a prueba en un viaje largo, actualizaré mi reseña de acuerdo a que tal nos vaya.

The brand new kennel arrived in tact , as advertised , all parts included, metal screws , ' live animal ' stickers for all sides as well as an ITIA certificate from the manufacturer stating approved essentials for flying. Medium kennel, perfect for my 63cm long Maltese. Plenty of space inside for standing and turning. Very happy after a long search between different kennels, manufacturers and hundreds of reviews. Just a note: I am not using the bowls supplied for the flight, even though perfect for cage , but ordered a ball mechanism container, refillable from outside . No mess.
