Thank you for the interest and contacting us regarding the Mounting Dream mount. We understand and we're glad to help. Since the soundbar brackets are usually mounted in between the wall mount TV bracket and TV panel, it is compatible but may require longer TV bolts and additional spacers/washer to flush the brackets together as much as possible. Please keep in mind that the MD5425 can only expand up to (600mm) 24" inches wide/horizontal for the TV VESA hole pattern and is only able to hold up to 13 lbs. maximum weight for the soundbar.

Can this be mounted on a wall (sheetrock) insted of the tv mount?

Thank you for contacting us regarding Mounting Dream Mount. We understand and we are glad to help.

Mounting Dream mounts are perfectly compatible for installing directly into the "solid" brick/stone/concrete wall installations. Considering the safety of your TV,  just a friendly note, it is best to install directly into the solid brick/stone/concrete walls because the lag bolts requirement will require at least 2.25" ~ 2.5" inches depth to lock into the solid wall. DO NOT install or rely on the "Mortar" due to weather environments which will either have moisture or being too dry which will decay overtime, basically the material is brittle and not reliable overtime.

Does this mount hold a sony hta5000 ?

Thank you for the interest and contacting us regarding the Mounting Dream mount. We understand and we're glad to help.

The ‎HTA5000 has a dimension of ‎37.17 x 6.58 x 6.14  inches weighing approximately 13.45 lbs which requires the bottom panel bolt holes in order to mount with the soundbar mount.

MD5425 sound bar mount is suitable for most sound bars up to 20 lbs, fits most TVs up to 800x400mm, the adjustable base holder extends 6.06"and retracts back to 3.44" .So the MD5425 soundbar mount is not compatible with your soundbar.

We recommend MD5420 to you, it is suitable for HTA5000. link below:
