Challenging ( for me)
Good quality! Husband cracked it really fast though, in spite of being a harder one. Small in size. Looks as described. No instructions, because obviously that would defeat the purpose.

Tough and Fun!
Super Brain Game: This Puzzle is a real challenge! It took my husband (a software engineer who loves puzzles) about 3 weeks to figure out. It's rated level 6 by Mensa, so it's tough but fun. If you like puzzles that make you think, this one's for you! Strong and Durable: This puzzle is really well-made. It's made of metal and feels solid. You can play with it a lot without it breaking. Fun for Everyone: Whether you're playing alone or with friends, this puzzle is a blast. It's a great way to have fun and test your brainpower. Overall, I'd say it's a winner!

May require some lube or a hammer
This is a well made puzzle and feels good in the hand with no sharp edges.. however, the nuts did get jammed up on the threads while I was finessing it. I had to whack it with a wrench to get the nut loose. Overall it was fairly satisfying if not too tough puzzle.

Wow, this puzzle is making me feel stupid
I bought this little guy about 6 months ago. I solved it after about a half hour of intense puzzle-solving, and I felt pretty satisifed with myself. I immediately tried to reassemble it, but only spent about five minutes on it before giving up and pledging to "do it later." Well, 6 months later with this little guy sitting on my desk, I've decided to give it another ago and...well, it's hard to describe how much more difficult it is to put this little puzzle back together than it is to solve it. Solving it isn't even the half of it. It probably doesn't help that I waited half a year between disassembly and reassembly, but this thing is definitely testing my brain. I've worked on it for about 3-4 hours total over the course of a week at work, and I feel like I'm still not close to a solution. So, in short, this thing is definitely worth the few dollars it costs. Although I see a little paint chipping over the piece, it doesn't really have an effect on the durability at all. This little guy is durable, so you could hand it to your kids to have them solve and put back together (which, if they do, you might want to register them in gifted and/or honors classes) with no worry of it breaking. I suppose you could be a little wary of possibly losing one of the four pieces when it's fully disassembled, but that's it. I'm new to the Hanayama puzzle hobby, so I'm not a veteran of the industry or anything, but I can say as an 'of average intelligence' male, this puzzle is incredibly difficult and it will definitely test your aptitude and motor skills. Buy it. Edit: After about 10 hours total of on-and-off attempts, I finally got this sucker put back together. It still blows my mind how difficult it is. If any other Hanayama puzzles are even close to the challenge this little guy is, I'll be buying Hanayama puzzles for a long, long time. What is crazy about this puzzle is I don't feel like it was a waste of time at all (it helps that I only worked on it at work). I was constantly being challenged by it, finding out new ways pieces fit, etc. It was a big learning experience and a huge brain teaser. One co-worker mentioned, "Thanks to that thing, you just prevented getting Alzheimer's disease", which is a homage to how much time I put into this. I suspect other people will have a similar experience.

Difficult to solve but easy to master (Don't watch video if you want to solve it yourself)
Don't watch video if you want to solve it yourself. Very difficult and fun! This is the most difficult puzzle I've solved. Had a really fun time with it, the first 10minutes it felt impossible. I didn't time myself but it probably took me an hour of play time to solve it and I'm by no means a good puzzle solver. Mastering it took probably another 30mins, I can now take it apart and back together under a minute. Was good times, highly recommend if you like solving puzzles. Don't watch video if you want to solve it yourself.

“You can put your weed in there”
My review is a response to what many have described as their biggest gripe with this puzzle: I understand frustration. I also know that my strength becomes hulk like when pitted against a tiny adversary that won’t give up easily. Hard won experience has taught me the proper approach to take when tackling a difficult nut and bolt situation. Most of the time, a gentle hand is all the strength needed to thread Nuts on Bolts. And guess what has happened when I have taken the “I’m bigger than you!” tact when a bolt doesn’t want to screw on? Yea, that’s right. I’ve know the definition of cross-threaded when I was four. This puzzle was created to teach people, who otherwise would have never been exposed to the handyman life, how easy easy it is to cross-thread a nut and bolt. I’ve solved one or two of these Hanayama puzzles, and my biggest takeaway is the solution never requires strength. (Think about the physique of a typical puzzle-solver, and the stupidity of creating a puzzle that requires the user be able to bench their own weight) <— not gonna happen! If after the casting process, when the threads are cut (I suspect on a CNC) they used stricter tolerance, the puzzle wouldn’t be as susceptible to cross-threading. Why they don’t do that is a mystery to me. The only guess I have is for cost reduction. The same could be said for the nut size in relation to the bolt. I suspect the solvability isn’t changed either way if the nut and bolt fit wasn’t as sloppy. So yea… this thing is cool, and I’d buy it again. I was able to solve it in about ten minutes. Maybe I got lucky. Scratch that. I’m not going to lie to you. I got lucky. I’m kind of a halfwit, and if I were you, I’d ignore everything I’ve written here. And if you’re still reading this, then the joke’s on you buddy!! Ha!

Hours of fun
I saw this when I was at an auto dealership waiting for my paperwork so I can sign for a new car. The gentleman who was helping me had it on his desk and told me that no one had solved it yet. Well, I didn’t solve it that night either But I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I ordered this. I tried to solve it for one day after receiving it. I got so frustrated that I gave up and watched a video. It is super easy to do this if you just figure out the trick.
