I am very pleased to write about this one. So often you don't know what to expect and usually get the chinese junk that is built cheep-cheep. This tape measure is solidly built. It has a sturdy stop. The tape itself is much more rigid than any Stanley I've purchased lately, a very nice feature when you're trying to measure by one's self. And the most striking and handy feature that I've never seen before that has already sold me on this, the tape has the measurement printed on both sides! No need for twisting when you're looking at the back side of the object you're measuring. The extra 5 feet over the commonly available tapes is also a plus. (To be honest, I haven't found where it was manufactured on it anywhere, but it is a quality product) I recommend this to anyone, for themselves or as a gift. Especially since it's unique.

I use stainless because I measure water levels and it doesn’t rust.

I love that even in the rain this tape doesn't rust like my old Stanley did. The numbers are simple to read down to the 1/16" marks. I prefer the grey tape background as on a bright sunny day the matte finish doesn't reflect and blind you. I love that it is marked on the bottom side of the tape, in a year I think I used that option twice though, so it's really not a game changer...just nice to know it's there when it does make it easier. New it's the smoothest tape I've felt. So why only 4 stars? The last 12" of the tape wore out a little quicker than expected, still easy to read, but when hooking it to a piece of lumber and getting out to about 4' the hook flips up and releases from the edge of the board. The last 12" is the only part that doesn't work as smoothly as new since the tape itself is slightly rough. When new it didn't do this, the hook was perfect and moves as you'd expect...it just wore out. It lasted long enough and I liked it enough that for the price I ordered a new one to replace it!

This tape is a beast. I work in bodies of water or rivers. I have dropped this thing in water, muck, sand and it just needs a clean and it keeps going. Other tapes usually sieze after contact with mud. Truly a beast

I like these for use on tile work where the wet saw ends up getting all my tools wet. Regular tape measures usually have some defect where they start to rust quickly. These hold up much better.

As a professional contractor, I truly find the ergonomics of the Komelon tapes desirable and the armorized housing is moisture resistant and comfortable. For the cost and construction, which are both excellent, and although the tape blade "is not" in fact stainless steel, I can afford to dispose of one every so often once they become unusable due to rust of the "tape" which does last much longer than the "Stanley" in wet conditions. One other note, the tape will permanently "twist" if you let it "free-ride" and snap back into the housing. The 1/16" gradients are easy on the eyes and as most of my tile cuts are within 32nd" tolerances , not having a 32nd gradient mark makes for easy focus . While most of the metallic components are in fact stainless, be aware the actual tape "is not" stainless steel in the sense we would like. The term "stainless steel" is only a marketing point as making an actual "stainless steel tape" is unobtainable due to the brittle properties of stainless which can not tolerate the profile required of a normal retractable tape.

I bought this tape measure for my husband as a Christmas present and he loves it. Very strong and durable. Our 6 year son(who's destructive by nature) grabbed it before we could stop him and pulled it out/retracted it several times and bounced it and tried to bend it and it didn't break and held up to this torture (which is more than I can say for most things he touches). Very good quality and worth the price.

Muy mala descripción, lo anuncian como cinta métrica ( debe ser en cm, mm, m) y viene en pulgadas, es un fraude su venta, así lo anuncian "KOMELON ss116ss Pinza 16-foot Acero Inoxidable Cinta métrica (embalaje puede variar)" y no existe ninguna descripción de que viene 100% en pulgadas y sus fracciones, mal muy mal un gustito que me salio muy caro

Great tape, my last one is 6+years old and still goin! Tried the newer round body style but it kinked 4 inches from the end so its pretty much useless. The quality seems a little higher on the older squarish body so this was my impulsive replacement. All metal components are stainless so u can literally rinse it out in the sink and nothing will rust. Great tool.

Very nice large numbers well made

A little bulkier than some, but this is greatly overshadowed by the high build quality and top-shelf materials and design. This is a very smooth and reliable tape measure that does its work without fanfare. My first one had a problem, the tape got stuck occasionally at the 6" mark, and the replacement was delivered the very next day. The replacement is excellent, and I have another Kamelon tape against which to compare it. Overall, extremely pleased with this purchase and the fast, efficient customer service.
