Nice but not as nice as the shorts.

Everything as planned

The trousers overall fits really well and seems strong. However, the crotch of the trousers has no stretch, so continuous stair climbing, bending and lifting and other tasks that requires extensive crotch movement will result in irritation. Plus, the belt loop was not able to take a non-metal belt buckle - military size buckle, if you know the "green army belts" ( its big, but could be a few Mils bigger).

As a fifty-something with a normal waist (36) but stumpy legs (30), it is nigh on impossible to find this type of trouser to fit correctly and as I specifically wanted knee pads, they are actually located at my knees and not half way down my shin like most out there. I purchased these for metal detecting and after lots of research, the only contenders were these or a pair if UF Pro's at considerably more cost. The elastic waist is ace, the cut just right and more pockets than you'll ever know what to do with. The material appears to be hard wearing but light. The only reason I haven't given this five stars is the hem tie tapes which I'm not sure about. I will re-review after thorough field testing. I've had these trousers for a year now, and they have exceeded my expectations. They are strongly made and comfortable to wear, if a little heavy for summer use...

I've tested these out in the hot, cold, rain and sun. They are good in high winds too. Breathable. I didn't get sweaty and hot. these stood up to some serious wear and tear. I've slid down hill (steep) on my backside well over 30M over sticks and small rocks without tearing them and only feeling slightly stupid. I'd say you could go cheese rolling at Coopers and wear these no problem at all!

Definitely one of the best trousers I have ever purchased, I wish they were cheaper than the current £68.99 price ,however I did manage to get 15 % off the this price it was a limited deal , currently they seem to have a 10% off ,I would love to buy all the other colours and have the whole collection !!!! I chose 30W/30L ,fits PERFECTLY!!!!
