Wooden Soap Mold Beveler/Planer Soap Makind Tool（7.5" x 4.25" x 1.85"）

For someone who has been trimming soap with a knife for many years, this little tool has been a Godsend! Not only does it smoothly shave off imperfections, but it bevels the sharp edges too! There are 2 grooves perpendicular to the blade. You set the sharp edge of your soap into the groove of your choice (2 sizes) and slide the soap along. Bam! Beautiful edges! I used to spend from 5-10 min. cleaning up a single bar of soap. Now it takes only seconds. I use a corn silk brush to gently brush away any remaining "crumbs" and then package the soap. Oh! The wood is finished, not raw, so it will stay smooth. This is the best tool for soap that I've ever purchased! Highly recommend.

Planes the soap as described. Pros: Nice thin slice, very sharp blade, clean cut. Con: there is a large label on the top of the plane where the soap slides over the blade...... (not shown in the site picture) and it will not come off, and is now gumming up with each slice, and is affecting the face of the soap. Very bad label placement!!

The planer portion worked well, but one of the two bevel lines was badly routed and very chipped so as to be unusable.

I wish it had a soap stabilizer, other than that it is ok.

Did not come with grooves for beveling. Good planer but I needed both.

The screws were not put in even and ruin a few bars of soap before I realized what the problem was. My husband was able to fix, but should not have had a problem in the first place.

The blade is not leveled. The blade level on the right side is actually below the surface. So it is only planing on the left side which is leaving the soap crooked. I did not like it.

This is the greatest tool a soap maker can have besides a soap cutter. Cleans up edges quickly and the bars look very professional. Very sharp blade so be careful. The groove is great too. Two thumbs up!
