Semi-Permanent Red Hair Dye, 5 FL OZ, Rock Lobster, Vegan

I have never used semi permanent dye but wanted a more vivid color than I can get in my usual box dye. Don’t come for me, I’ve been box dying for over 20 years lol. I have four kids and work an extremely physically demanding manufacturing job 60+ hours a week. But I wanted to try this. I panicked and abandoned it for a box dye because I was worried it would stain my scalp and face/neck because I want full saturation which can get messy. When the box dye started to fade I remembered I still had this, and have been doing makeshift conditioner masks with it every week and it’s magnificent! I mix this with my regular old dove conditioner and saturate dry hair and leave it on for however long I want, then shampoo it out. I’ll never have to box dye again and though I have short thin hair I’ll get 8-10 uses out of this size product using it as I described. I purchased rock lobster red. First pic is after the first mask, second one is the second mask I did. Will purchase again.

I've used multiple colors/shades of this dye, and I have loved every single one! I've used a lot of different brands of dye, and this is by far my favorite. I refuse to go back to another brand. This dye has a thick texture and spreads easily to get an even color. I'm able to lift my hair to a level 9 or 10 blonde and my color always turns out exactly like what's pictured on the box. The best part is that it doesn't fry your hair! I don't even feel the need to use a shampoo or conditioner after rinsing out the dye because my hair still feels soft. This stuff stays in my hair for at least a month without even fading (that's probably about 5 or 6 washes). Beware, it will leave color stains on your towels and clothes until several washes in, but I've noticed the stains do wash out easy in the washer. I highly recommend this stuff to everyone who colors their hair! (Pics are Ex Girl and Rock Lobster shades)

I was scared that it was gonna be very light and wash out quick due to the other reviews, but it was actually amazing and it made my hair very very red. It was bright but not clown like it was very pretty red and it also has stayed in even while I’m washing my hair with super hot water. I have long, thick medium brown hair and it only took up half of the 5 ounce container to dye all of my hair.

Love this color!!! I only bleached my natural very dark brown hair once so my base was like a honey orange/gold ish as I previously dyed it months ago. I had trouble with other red dyes but this one stood out! Get this if your having trouble deciding with other reds!!

My 15 year old has decided to go as bold with his hair color as he can get. I'm all for him expressing himself, but he decides to change the color pretty frequently - like, the rest of us don't have time to get used to one color before he goes with something else. Again, I don't have a problem with that, but all that coloring isn't good for his hair, especially if he has to strip the previous permanent color out. With that in mind, I've started going with temporary colors. That way, it's fading and going away about as fast as he decides on something else. This one is vibrant and stands out, which he likes, and he's gotten a few comments when he's been out - good comments. People really like this one. So, with temporary colors and a deal not to color more often than about every 3-4 months, we're both happy. This is one that I think he'll use again, so I'd say we'll be getting another soon.

loved this color!! super vibrant, no staining and smells amazing ! recently retired my red hair cause I got tired of it but this was the best vibrant red i’ve used! I did have to lighten my hair pretty light for it to show up - but that’s advertised on the product! would definitely use this brand in the future if I get tired of my black hair ! EDIT: went back to a full head of black hair and the black WAS NOT pigmented at all , left for an hour and my hair was very much still brown :’) RED is AMAZING though !! ♥️

Good Dye Young is the best dye for crazy colors. After trying many different brands, this one is the most vibrant and lasts the longest. Would not recommend for colors such as silver or black, but would recommended for red, green, blue, purple, and pink.

My hair was a faded natural sort of red prior to using the product but my natural hair is darker so I left Rock Lobster on for one hour. No stink, no burn, no damage to my hair. As instructed I just rinsed, no shampoo or conditioner. My roots stayed a bit darker but I like the the look. The first photo is day one the second is two washes later. I also got the dye posit to maintain the color and used it on my second wash which gave a Ruby effect but wasn’t dramatic, at least not yet anyway. It may be more impactful after a bit of fade. I was happy to learn that I could keep the left over product to refresh at a later date. I will absolutely buy again!
