If you knit or crochet, or do anything with hand dyed yarn, and you are tired of winding your yarn in a cake on the back of a chair or on your knees, do yourself a favor and get one of these. I had been looking at various styles and brands for a very long time, and finally decided on this one. And omg! what a difference!!! Setup was super easy, winding was a breeze, caking the yarn was quick....I cannot recommend it highly enough! Once you set it up correctly (make sure it's not wobbly), it is a smooth sailing. No squeaking, snagging, tangling....just spinning and done! Just get one!

The yarn swift is great. It’s a little wobbly because of highs but turns smoothly and is easy to adjust. The ball winder is fairly sturdy as well and the crank turns smoothly. It’s easy to wind fast and anchoring it to a flat surface is a breeze. The clamp has a nice size allowance which makies it easy to use in most places as well. The only annoyance is the squeaking. I had it a day and it started squeaking with use no matter how slow or fast I wind the yarn. It’s loud and annoying but for the price? Worth it.
