Review: Great starter synth - Bought this in tandem with the Volca Sampler. I do a lot of field recording and will use both devices to play with sounds. I'm not really a musician, play a little guitar. Both devices are great for experimentation in sound design. There's a small learning curve but lots of videos on youtube demonstrating how to get started. I think in the right hands and with a musical ear, you can really pull the potential from this little thing. A bonus is that the power supply I bought from an desertcart external seller works for both devices. I also have the Korg NTS-1 which can run off usb power- that might have been a nice option for portability for this device as 6AAs is a little bit of an inconvenience. Overall there's nothing else in the price range that comes close.

Bought this in tandem with the Volca Sampler. I do a lot of field recording and will use both devices to play with sounds. I'm not really a musician, play a little guitar. Both devices are great for experimentation in sound design. There's a small learning curve but lots of videos on youtube demonstrating how to get started. I think in the right hands and with a musical ear, you can really pull the potential from this little thing. A bonus is that the power supply I bought from an amazon external seller works for both devices. I also have the Korg NTS-1 which can run off usb power- that might have been a nice option for portability for this device as 6AAs is a little bit of an inconvenience. Overall there's nothing else in the price range that comes close.
