Does this product contain lead? Can someone explain why if it does?

Lead? No!!! I take this as part of my lyme protocol every day...vit A,D, B6, B12, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, 3g chlorella per 6 tablets, chlorophyll.... all good stuff...

Yes, it is grown "in tanks"--however, the entire process is chemically scrutinized for purity standards.

Is Sun Chlorella tested and certified by a third party testing lab?

I know this is the first chlorella to hit the market!!!!! It is grown in waters in Japan if not mistaken. It was expensive but I tried it till i found similar. It has to be cracked cell. To get the benefits. But to me it was pristine I'm starting on it again.
