Because they are pieces (around the size of a 3" square) and not the whole ears, which can be huge, they allow your dog to chew for a time to get the benefits to teeth, breath, chewing/teething urges, or release of stress and/or energy, but still finish the treat so there's no uneaten, slobbery pieces left over.I'm not sure that ALL dogs react the same to pig ears, but there was hardly hesitation the first time I offered to my large coon hound pup; and since then, he's lost his mind EVERY time I've reached for the bag. He devours them, but they still last 5 minutes or so... I'd guess smaller dogs could probably find themselves busy for a while.Because these are pig ears with no other ingredients (a good thing), I use these as a chew treat in addition to biscuits, which have their own benefits. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rated 5 stars by Thor the canine bowser *by D***X on September 25, 2018* Large pig ears, nice and crispy.
