Not familiar with iPad in question but if it supports bluetooth I cannot see why earphones shouldn't work.

I was considering a40 tr but i'm no professional. would this model be a good budget version of a40?

These are great headphones. Sound quality, bass, ultra high definition and really comfortable. Can use blue tooth or wired. The best I have found on a budget. I use for amutuer music production mostly and added advantage of A70 compared to A40 and main reason I got them, is you can swivel each speaker back.
