Excellent Rod and Gear Case
I compared this Fishpond rod case to the Allen Cottonwood Fly Fishing Rod and Gear case and the Raprance Fly Fishing Rod and Gear case, and choose the Fishpond to keep for myself. None of these cases will hold three-piece nine-foot rods, or ten-foot and longer four-piece rods. (I didn't try a 9.5-foot rod, but I suspect it wouldn't fit.) The rod tubes for nine-foot four-piece rods won't fit; you have to stow rods in their cloth sacks. I can fit six rods this way in any of the three cases. The Fishpond is the priciest, and also the most well-made and has the most rigid bottom and sides. I think it offers the most protection. The mid-priced Allen is my second favorite. It's slightly lighter than the Fishpond and has slightly less rigidity in its bottom and sides. But its features are the best, in terms of zippered pockets and number of dividers. I would be willing to check-in the Fishpond or Allen case for a flight or carry either in a boat. Not so for the least-expensive Raprance, which lacks a rigid bottom and sides. The Raprance is by far the lightest and offers the least protection and features. I wouldn't trust my rods in it for a check-in on a flight or boat ride. My conclusion is you get what you pay for in these cases. I'm keeping the Fishpond, giving the Allen to my son, and returning the Raprance to Amazon.

A Great Case for 9 ft 4 pc Rods and Reels
This case will hold 2 9ft 4 pc rods in their tubes or up to 4 in their socks. It also has compartments for 4 reels along with zip pockets on the inside of the top cover for tippets and other flat items. I use mine all the time. Disappointingly, it will not accommodate my Sage 8 1/2 ft 3 pc Dart as the sections are too long.

Solid case w/ good edge support and durable zippers
Happy w/ the case. Allows for carrying multiple rods, reels and variety of gear. 3-piece, nine foot rods fit in case when OUT OF THEIR travel tube. Travel tube (standard ones that come with the rods) do not fit. So far the zipper durability is good, no complaints. Outside and inside zippered compartments. Shoulder strap is nice when walking with it.

Easily fits 4- 9" rods.
A nice quality case. I have 4 rods in their socks (no tubes) and 4 reels in the case. My only complaints are I wish it was slightly larger so I could put a couple of fly boxes in as well. I also think it should be less expensive, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Very well made.
The fly rod case is very well made and was delivered pretty fast. The zippers are very strong and easy to use. I think the case is a bit high in price, but well made so I guess you get what you pay for. Now days quality is king and it will cost you.

Very well built
The case is very well built. I purchased it to take my fly rods on the plane with me rather than send them (and their tubes) through checked baggage in a duffle bag. I haven't flown with it yet, but I can see how much more useful this will be, both as a carry-on, and to better manage what gets checked (boots, waders, etc.)

So Small!!!
This bag is tiny! Without removing all the dividers it can't fit any reels. I got this planning on it being my bag for ocean trips, but it cant even fit my 5wt reel with the divider in their designed positions. Good quality bag but is borderline useless unless you are traveling with loads of ultra light gear.

Not with the price
It's a great travel case. But, for $200 bucks, there are several improvements that should be considered. The lining leaves a lot to be desired, the zippers need to be lockable for travel.
