Unfortunately, there was a really bad odour to the bag. My sister said "the bag smells like animal". This is distinctly different than the leather smell we are all used to. They were in the middle of winter and couldn't put the bag out in the sun to finish the tanning process as we were instructed to by the seller. In the end, I had to return the item.However, do to this shipping from India, it was going to cost the seller more to ship it back, so we struck a deal for a refund minus the original shipping costs. I do believe that the shipping costs should have been separate from the total cost, but I didn't argue any further as it was clear I wasn't communicating with someone with English as their first language.In the end, I'm happy I got a refund. Some other reviewers have mentioned a bad smell. It did have a noticeable smell as it is leather. Leather smells until it doesn't. It's just that simple. It was strong at first but wore off in about a week. Placing it outside to air out would probably reduce the smell faster. The quality is excellent. Zippers zip, handles hold.
