Always did a fine Lub
I used the Remington SP-4 Shaver Saver Cleaner & Lubricant Spray for many years, but I understand this product is not made any more.

Works best if used just BEFORE you shave, not after.
The instructions say to spray this onto the cutting head of you electric razorAFTER you have shaved, and washed the razor head clean... just before youput the electric razor away. I followed those instructions precisely for overa year, and it certainly did keep the razor head nicely lubricated and fresh-smelling.A few months ago... I decided to try something different:I still clean the cutting head with liquid soap and water, and rinse it cleanafter each use, but I stopped spraying this "Shaver Saver" onto the cutting headjust prior to putting it away. Instead... I now spray the "Shaver Saver" ontothe clean and dry moving blades of the cutting head JUST BEFORE I SHAVE.The result is much better. So much so that I don't understand why the manufacturer'sdirections don't suggest this as the ideal method of use for the product. When you spray the "Shaver Saver" onto the blades just BEFORE you shave, you can hear the motorized cutting head get slightly higher-pitched indicating thatthe blade assembly is moving slightly faster, and the lubricant also noticeably helpsthe electric razor to glide smoothly over my face.So my advice is... disregard the instructions... but use the product... its works very well.

Keeps Foil Razors Sharp
I bought this for my high end Panasonic razor. The razor is great, but with just a short squirt on the head it lubricates and makes it shave closer. Any moving parts in contact will work better when oiled. This formula is just the right amount of cleaner and lubricant for the razor foils. The only down side is that it does not have the nicest aroma, but it goes away quickly. The main benefit for me is I get a closer shave faster with the spray. I also believe the foil will last longer.

A very different smell...
Seems to work just fine, but has an odd smell. Sort of a machine shop/hardware store/chain lube smell.Somewhat off-putting.

Strong smell
After reading a lot of reviews for electric shavers, I finally decided on one of the new panasonic models to replace my Braun. Given the price of the thing, I started looking for some kind of lubricant so it will last longer. Most of the stuff I looked at was little more than high-priced alcohol, with little or no lubricant in it.The SP4 Lubricant is the real deal, if you don't mind the smell. It smells like something you would spray into the carburetor of your 68 Camaro to get it started on a cold day. But then again, if it smelled like peaches and cream it probably wouldn't work. Also, a new full can is under a lot of pressure. Hold it away from your face when you use it the first few times. After that, the pressure will be less and you won't get the blow back.

It saves me money in the long run.
I use this to clean and lubricate my Braun Shaver. I extend the life of the Braun cleaning cartridges. The cartridges are too expensive, so I remove the cartridge and brush out the hairs, then spray them with this cleaner, and I only use the Braun cleaning station once every 1 or 2 weeks. And after I clean the razor with the Braun, I remove the cartridge and put the cap back on it until I'm ready use it again.I have gone Months with 1 cartridge.

Not just for Remington shavers
Remington SP-4 Shaver Saver Cleaner & Lubricant isn't just for Remington shavers.I've used it successfully on other razor brands I've owned throughout the years. It will keep any razor clean and well-lubricated.It's also easy to use. On a daily basis, open your razor's cutting head assembly, clean out the hairs and the whiskers, and spray the heads. Then close the head assembly and run the razor for approximately 10 seconds.I also use it to lubricate my razor's beard and mustache trimmer. I open the trimmer, spray it, and run the razor for 10 seconds.Remington SP-4 Shaver Saver Cleaner & Lubricant is well worth the money, and highly recommended for maximizing razor performance.
