Practical I liked the sizes but I didn’t like the cloth material

I fought the whole packing cube idea for a long time, thinking they couldn’t possibly make THAT much difference...but I’m now an official convert 😉Granted, I haven’t done any hands-on comparison between brands, so this review is about the YAMIU 7-piece set only. They seem to be made well (strong seams, quality materials, good zippers, etc)...and compared to other brands I considered, reasonably priced. I like these well enough that I will be ordering another set for my hubby before we leave for an extended holiday next fall.That said, the WOW-factor comes with what can actually be packed in them. I am an experienced traveler and can absolutely “do” minimalist, carry-on packing...but cubes take it to a new level.I use a typical, small, wheeled suitcase that can be taken aboard flights for the overhead bin (small enough for international travel). My work-wardrobe consists mostly of microfiber garments, so wrinkling is not a problem. Most often, I pack for a one week stay: 3 pants, 6 tops, a lightweight cardigan and the other necessities (undergarments, socks, bathing suit, coverup). To be sure, I am not a size 4, so these are real clothes worn by a slightly chunky, middle-aged woman 😆It takes a little practice to roll clothing well, but when fully packed, the largest cube takes up just over half the suitcase space. I can now pack my entire work-wardrobe in that cube (which previously filled the suitcase). This allows me to pack extra shoes or even a pair of boots...with quite a bit more room to spare!In packing the smallest cubes, I’ll simply share what I packed for a non-work-related long-weekend trip:2 pair denim leggings, 1 lightweight merino wool long sweater, 1 microfiber tunic, 1 heavy(ish) button-down shirt, bathing suit, coverup and a 3 day supply of undergarments, socks and such. I used the other small cube to compress my memory foam travel pillow and blanket...and could get more into that cube, if I needed more room. The two cubes took up about 2/3rds of my standard shoulder-carry bag, so lots of room for my hanging toiletry bag and a pair of flats...plus my full length raincoat neatly packed under everything in the zippered (shoe?) bag that comes with this YAMIU set.This brings up another benefit of using cubes: ORGANIZATION!! Just for the few trips I’ve taken since purchasing these cubes, I’ve seen how well things can be organized. Something as simple as not having to dig through my shoulder bag to get my pillow and blanket while sitting in the ever-shrinking airline seating space 😖 It was so much easier to simply grab that cube! Plus, it was just as easy to repack those items to put them away.In addition, for extended trips, each cube can be packed with specific items (like all tops in one and all bottoms in another). This would be awesome for backpacking or the proverbial living out of your suitcase.All-in-all, I would recommend these packing cubes for their quality, price, and usability.

I wish I could give 6 stars because I would! I researched the heck out of these bags after I got over the fact that I was actually spending money for a bag in a bag. There are tons of companies selling these and I am very happy I chose this brand. I noticed they were a bit larger than the other brands and it came with so many extras. I am getting ready to go on a cruise and I wish I had taken a before and after pictures because I got a 10-day cruise vacation in a Medium suitcase with room to spare. I wasn't that thrilled with the shoe bag upon ordering but I found that it is perfect! It held 2 pairs of shoes + the ones on my feet were all I needed for the trip. I really never thought I would be so excited about this but I can admit I am like so many others that wished I would have done this a LONG time ago!! The clear bags are also larger than they look and I found uses for them as well. I bought a set for me and my husband I am sure glad I did packing was a breeze and love the fact my stuff won't be all over the place if my bag is opened. I found these bags well made, easy to zip up and came with a storage cover bag as well so they won't get dusty on your shelf. Everyone is right they do compact your clothes so you have more room. I am still shaking my head!

I admittedly thought these packing cubes were going to be gimmicky, thinking they would not be of benefit when packing. Boy was I wrong! I just packed my son and I, in one suitcase, for a 10 day trip to Hawaii and these packing cubes were a such a space and time saver! Because the price point was so good, I ended up purchasing two sets, grey and blue, and used one color for myself and the other for my son. First of all, the cubes are super light weight so any extra weight using them was well under 1lb. They are great quality, zippers are strong and I love that you can see what is packed in each cube due to the mesh cover. all of our clothes fit in each cube and because the cubes help secure and keep your clothes from shifting in your luggage, there was much less wrinkling and unpacking took minutes! the other great advantage is re-packing everything- I was able to pack the night before our flight, put the cubes in my suitcase and not worry about storing my luggage back in the closet without messing everything up the next morning as we did final packing, etc.. i couldn't recommend these cubes more, especially if you travel a lot, have children or use larger suitcases that tend to easily shift all of your items when they are moved around. Also, the plastic clear cases that are included are super heavy duty plastic and expand very deep- you can fit so much into both sizes. Highly recommend this product!!
