Awesome pan. Heavy. Durable. Follow cleaning instructions for longevity.
Works really well. Love the color and the quality and non-stick capabilities. Allows us to cook larger quantities due to the size of the pan. It is quite heavy for me but my other half loves it and handles it well. It was his gift after all so he uses it mainly. Be sure to clean properly to ensure longevity of this pan. Got a good deal on this during Black Friday/cyber Monday so value for my money was great.

At firstlook very pleased with this skillet!
I just received the Tramontina skillet I ordered. I haven't used it yet, but it looks very well made with a high quality enameled coating, and was very securily packaged to prevent damage in shipping. I ordered it in black with the black enameled interior. It is very nice looking, something that would look fine if you chose to leave it out on your stove. It appears to be as good of quality as several of the better known high end enameled cookware. The secondary 'helper' handle is large enough to allow a good grip. It is 12.6" diameter at the top measured to the outside of the pour spouts, but only 10" in diameter when measured across the inside of the bottom, but the description clearly show it is 12.6" at the top, so I knew what I was getting. My only disappointment is I wish it was 12" in diameter at the bottom for cooking larger meals. Hey Tramontia - Please make a larger skillet! I would recommend this enamel coated skillet.

Excellent skillet
I waited a bit before reviewing so I’d have a good grasp of how I like the skillet first. Pros: Easy to clean and season Cooks food perfectly Non toxic Large, cooks skillet dishes easily big enough for my family of six Beautiful—lots of compliments on this one Holds up well, Sturdy Cons(ish… there really aren’t any): Very heavy so if you have never handled a heavy skillet you’ll be surprised at its weight. Personally this is a pro to me, but my 60 year old mother could never lift this thing. The bottom will eventually get a little brown. I mean, it’s a skillet. You put it on heat. What do you expect? Unless you are staring at the bottom you wouldn’t know it, though, and as heavy as it is you likely won’t be doing that. It is cast iron so that means low and slow. You don’t want to turn the heat up to high on this one (or you’ll really turn the bottom brown). I’ve found that my stove top burner does well on level 4 or 5 heat out of a ten-level heat setting. It takes five minutes or so to get the surface ready to use but patience pays off because when heated and oiled properly, it doesn’t stick and mannnn does it cook well! I would have one of these in every size if I could afford to.

Beautiful Pan!
First of all the color is so pretty. Exactly as shown. I love the pan but it’s by far the heaviest pan I own. Having a cover is a big plus and it’s also very heavy! The pan performs very well. Because I bought this mainly for using on top of the stove the weight is not as important. However if you’re planning on regularly using it in and out of the oven make sure you have strong muscles to support the weight! I bet it weighs over 15 pounds. It is cast iron after all... If you’re looking for a good quality pan in a beautiful color then this is for you!!! I believe the Le Cruset brand is half the weight but it’s also 4-5 times as much money! If money is no object make another choice and go with the lighter pan. If you’re on a budget like me then this is an excellent choice. I would highly recommend it. Plus the color is gorgeous!!! It looks beautiful stored on your stovetop

Not worth the money
We loved this skillet so much! In the last month it has started chipping a ton. I can’t believe it’s not even two years old. It was not cheap in cost but seems to be cheaply made. I would pass if I were you. We have made sure to take care of the pan when cleaning. Not sure how this could have happened.

Heavy - rough surface - but a overall worthwhile skillet
I was surprised by the weight of this skillet which weighs as much as an iron dutch oven (6qt). The finsih on the outside was perfect and polished. But the internal finsih was rougher than expected. Still it is easy to clean. So I expect a lot of use from this skillet. Update: after three months of use - hand washed only - there are small chips forming in the exterior paint. I find the internal surface quite rough compared to other enameled surfaces which makes it more difficult, but not impossible, to clean. Consider this a three star product.

If you normally cook with cast iron, this is the pan you want
I've had this pan 2 weeks and have used it daily since it arrived, with excellent results. I was looking for an alternative to my large cast iron pans that I use regularly but find difficult and time consuming to maintain. The enamel coating on this pan is virtually flawless, so maybe i just got lucky but is very effective as a non stick surface both inside and out and shows zero sign of use so far from gas range stove top to oven. The black interior is the way to go instead of white in my experience and it's so nice to cook acidic dishes, such as tomato sauce without concern for ruining the seasoning on my traditional cast iron. The lid is a big bonus and adds a whole extra dimension to what and how you can cook with it. Of course, it is HEAVY. As long as the enamel holds up, I see this as my go to pan for anything I'd normally use cast iron for and a whole lot more. Price is very fair for the quality IMO.

Great pan, flat bottom
I love this pan, but my grill hates it because I usually cook my steaks on the stove now. It works great on a glass top stove, and heat is easier to control on a stove than a grill. Grilling is still funner, but cast iron has more control. After more than a year with this pan I have no complaints.

This is a beautiful enamelled cast iron frying pan with a cast iron lid.
It’s a very attractive enamelled cast iron frying pan. With the lid on, it’s very heavy. It is a 12 inch fairly deep frying pan. It’s beautiful and I’m very pleased.

Excellent washable cast iron pan.
Excellent pan. Easy to clean, and non-stick. Enamel cast iron pans are my favourite to cook on. Surface was a bit coarse at first, but after a few cleanings with a green scrub pad, is nice a slick for cooking and washing. A small amount of oil is all that is needed to make it non-stick, even with eggs. Best used preheated at a low temperature. Holds heat as all cast iron pans do. The beauty of enamel is you can wash it with soap, unlike a traditional cast iron pan. Lid is also heavy which also holds heat and allows for excellent oven use.
