An MCT oil comparison (fractions of other brands listed) and my personal experiences
SHORT REVIEW: Left Coast is a superb MCT oil—and I've tried many, including Brain Octane (which I also love). For me: Measurable blood ketone boost when I'm cycling OFF my ketogenic diet, brain fog clears up and strong memory & cognitive boost (I'm a health and psychology writer), and no GI side effects on an empty stomach. In "fractional fatty acid" composition, it's very similar to Bulletproof XCT at a much lower price. I've been using it daily for over 11 months now. Also: If you care about small-batched, high-quality-controlled sources of your foods and supplements, then family-owned businesses like Left Coast are worth supporting. Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Left Coast or any resellers—just a guy who cares about the health of myself, my friends, and my family. LONG REVIEW FOR CONFIRMED BIO-HACKERS ONLY (C8 to C18 BREAKOUT COMPARISONS WITH SOME OTHER BRANDS I'VE USED): Left Coast MCT Oil (this product) C8 56% C10 44% With 1 Tb (tablespoon) of this plus 1 Tb butter in coffee, zero appetite for 4-5 hours. Perceptible boost from fatigue and brain fog, better short-term memory (about 13% when measured on luminosity's online app). When I'm OFF my HFLC (high fat, low carb) ketogenic diet, my Precision Xtra ketone blood meter shows 2-4 mmol/L over 0.5 baseline, after about 2 hours. Brain Octane Oil (Bulletproof) https://www.amazon.com/Bulletproof-Brain-Octane-Oil-Ounce/dp/B00R7FFYO8/ C8 100% This gives me about the same ketone boost (though for others I know, much higher than a C8/C10 blend like Left Coast), YMMV. XCT Oil (Bulletproof) https://www.amazon.com/Bulletproof-XCT-Oil-32-fl-oz/dp/B00R7FFR86/ C8 and C10 combined: (individual ratios not specified): 100% Very similar to the Left Coast product in terms of physical stamina, fatigue reduction, and mental clarity. NOW MCT Oil https://www.amazon.com/NOW-MCT-100-Oil-32-Ounce/dp/B0019LRY8A/ C8: 60% or more C10: 35-40% Other: 0-5% This does give me a similar ketone boost as Left Coast and Bulletproof XCT oil, but sometimes just a little stomach discomfort. Also, it raises my triglycerides (I use a Multicare IN blood meter for that). I don't know why. Sports Research MCT Oil https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XM0Y9SE/ C8 Caprylic Acid 34% C10 Capric Acid 28% C12 Lauric Acid 29% (really a long-chain fatty acid, some say to avoid for GI issues, but may have benefits) Other (not listed): 9% This gives me a similar ketone boost as Left Coast MCT oil, but I've stopped using it mainly because I'm hoping that maximum C8 and C10 per serving in other products will help my brain and physical stamina more. And, from wikipedia, here's the fractional breakout of PLAIN OLD UNREFINED COCONUT OIL: Caprylic C8 7% Decanoic C10 8% Lauric C12 48% Myristic C14 16% Palmitic C16 9.5% Oleic C18:1 6.5% Other 5.0% Are all those non C8 & C10 fractions (Lauric, Myristic, Palmitic, Oleic) “bad?” Controversial topic to be sure. Authors like Bruce Fife ("The Coconut Oil Miracle") and Mary Enig (biochemist and author of "Eat Fat, Lose Fat") cite benefits to whole coconut oil (anti-inflammatory effects, microbiome balancing, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial effects against harmful microbes, etc.). I'll leave the conclusions here for you to make. Hope this helps, and sincerely wishing you health and well-being - Andrew in Boulder, CO.

Great taste
Much cleaner choice for adding to mushroom coffee. Cooking coconut oil was fine until I tried this. Highly recommend for MCT benefits.

Another Healthy Additive in my Coffee
Superb quality and in the form that matters most(C8 and C10). Larger container lasts longer so that fewer plastic bottles end up in our oceans. I use a frother to mix two squirts in my coffee(saw this recommended by a doctor on YT).

Purchased Repeatedly Until Price Led me to Further Exploration
Good quality though after my third purchase began purchasing other brands due to price creep and haven't noticed any difference in quality. Stating that this was the first MCT OIL I'd ever purchased and continued to do so regularly, until I chose to seek better options. This large bottle lasts me for about a month. I'd purchased this primarily to increase fat levels in my ketogenic diet and certainly enjoy the benefits of ketosis; higher levels of consistent energy, no food cravings, better sleep and connection between mind and body. Taking MCT Oil was the key to keeping ketosis levels for me and being so freaking easy to prepare with my morning bulletproof coffee, it helps me tremendously when concerned about not getting enough calories. KETO diet can be SO effective that it's at times almost challenging to eat. It's not hard to get down a couple tablespoons of MCT anytime of day and immediately improves my calories and overall fat/protein/carbs macros. I take a total of 4 tablespoons of MCT per day and don't experience any GI dysfunctioning. The price creep continues to plague me with this product, to the tune of ~20%, which I guess isn't going to make or break anyone, though in this economy this all adds up. The initial extra $50/year added onto the base price for this was enough to begin trying other brands, and glad I did. Although I'd certainly recommend the left coast performance coconut oil, with a nice easy to read label that doesn't get funkified if/when any oil gets on it, When I finally found another consistent brand to stick with costing around 3/5th of what this does, my savings worked out to over $100 a year. Unsure about y'all but that's a lot of money to leave on the table without noticing a difference whatsoever when compared to other top brands. MCT Oil is MCT Oil as far as I'm concerned. I've not noticed ANYTHING specifically different whatsoever when switching to other brands.

Energy in a Bottle! (and Great for Keto/LCHF)
I bought Left Coast Performance MCT oil because I've recently started a ketogenic diet and needed to increase my daily fat intake. This was the brand I saw recommended by many people online, it had great reviews on Amazon, and so I tried it. I have NOT been disappointed! It has a very clean, slightly-sweet flavor (it's 100% from coconuts) and having this MCT oil makes it easy to get my daily fat macros. I use it in making bulletproof coffee/hot chocolate, salad dressings, and I also stir it into soup, which makes it taste "luscious", and pour it on anything "dry" (like the yolks of hard-boiled eggs). I have even swallowed a tablespoon by itself--it's silky and a tiny bit sweet. But, the really nice surprise was discovering that it gives me *incredible* energy. Many mornings since I've started taking this MCT oil daily, I wake up raring to go, which is pretty unusual. One weekend in particular, my husband and I were cleaning our garage and I suddenly realized that I'd been hard at work much longer than I'm usually up to. I actually remarked to my husband that 'I wonder if the MCT oil is giving me more energy?' He answered, "Well, it says that on the bottle." Since I only bought it to get more healthy fat in my diet, I hadn't even realized it affected energy levels so I checked the bottle and, sure enough, there it was: "All Day Energy". That is certainly not an exaggeration in my case! I've recommended it to my sister and a coworker and have already ordered my second bottle to ensure I don't run out! I can't speak to other brands of MCT oil as I've never tried them but Left Coast Performance MCT oil is fantastic and I thank them for selling such a high-quality product. NOTE: As other reviewers have pointed out, start slow (1 tsp.) and work your way up over time to a tablespoon or you could have gastrointestinal issues. I occasionally have tummy rumblings if I use too much, but it's nothing bad--I just got overexuberant about the amount I was using again because I love the results so much.

NO TASTE, noticed results within the first week! BUT- TAKE AS DIRECTED!!
After reading several reviews on what to expect...I was so amused by the warnings not to overdue the first few servings for fear of explosive diarrhea (I have children- these things now amuse me! Terrible, but so is not following directions on serving sizes) so I didn't dare disobey the instructions. I have a 12 and 13 year old, whom I gave both a half a teaspoon, and took one myself. I had mild stomach pain and a 'mild' bathroom visit, and my children had no issues, but my daughter's throat hurt a little after swallowing ( I would notice that too, but we all take our MCT oil straight without drinks). However, by about day three or four I started to notice surges of energy and focus, which was around the time I would get "in a fog" with my hormonal changes at that time. I was pleasantly surprised and by day three or four had already doubled my dosage with half tsp in the morning and night. The kids did the same, with no sleep issues at all, but bursting energy in the morning from my son and now my daughter. This review is only after a week and I am already excited. I have yet to get my ghee to make my bulletproof coffee, but for now drinking the MCT oil on its own is ok for the kids and I. Did I also mention that the kids ENJOY taking it? They say there is no taste, but enjoy taking it because they know it's derived from coconut oil, which they love. Can't wait to see more results from this wonderful product. Will try to remember to update my review in a month- should be up to 1-2 tbsp a day by then. Great product, great price, and as far as I can tell the quality is great too!

Bueno
El producto es bueno, no tiene sabor. Sólo que la tapa chorrea mucho. A pesar de eso, llegó en buen estado pero con el uso, siempre se escurren gotas y hay que estar limpiando el envase.
