We spent hours getting off the wax that had drip down the candle sticks, dripped onto the stand that the candle sticks were standing on and that stand was very dear to us belonging to our Mother (now deceased) and antique.......it took some very long hours and a lot of work to get the was off as I wrote........not to mention quite alarmed at the damage to the stand.
