I was expecting it to be some $200 ridiculousness, but what a pleasant surprise to find it here on Amazon for under $60!Pros: Heats up really fast, very thin design means you can get close to the roots, lightweight so your arm doesn't get sore holding it up, entire iron is long so your hand isn't close to the heat element, cord is really long, small and light enough to be packable.Cons: No auto-off function so DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG IT, no way to lock the plates together for travel or storage, gets incredibly hot. Maybe my other flat irons that say they went up to 450 didn't, because this sucker is HOT at the top temp. I'm used to using irons on the highest heat setting and it's not necessary on this flat iron. My thick, wavy hair was well straightened at 3!I bought the "Canada approved" version. I have no idea what that means. When it broke I needed a new flat iron immediately so I ran to Ulta and purchased a decent flat iron. I never really liked it as much as this one, so I finally decided to go back to this iron. I am so happy I did. Right now we have really high humidity and my hair can get pretty big. This iron has done a great job of controlling the big hair.
