Amazing!
We just laid 1100 square feet on LVP and used this as our underlayment. Only 2 rooms had cement floors after tearing out the carpet, the rest was floated over linoleum. According to both the package and the website, a vapor barrier was not required underneath. This underlayment was fairly easy to lay down. We just drug the length out and cut it at the wall with a box cutter. In areas where I had to piece pieces in we used underlayment tape to tape it together, but you can also use packaging tape for that. Keep a broom handy to keep it clean before you put flooring on top of it. At first, the floors had a little bit of a clicking sound as you walked, but after 2 days that went away as the floor settled in. Our floors are quiet and have a very soft feel to them when you walk on them. This underlayment did exactly what I wanted, it was perfect. Not to mention it was also less than half the price of what you would pay at the big box store. I ordered two rolls of 600 ft and had plenty left over.

This is a great underlayment for flooring
Absolutly, loved this underlayment. It was easy to put down, and it is just the right thickness. I would definately recomment it. It is priced right, and is good value for the money. My husband laid the flooring (click clack) on top of it an there was a small dip in the floor before he laid it, in one area, and you don't even feel it. The flooring feels even and comfortable to walk on. It is durable to walk across as well before putting down the flooring without tearing up. The measurents for the product are accurate, and it functions as descriped.

BUY this not the Other
Lets start off by saying all the negative whiners on here reviewing poorly, I don't know what the heck you all are doing buy you are not doing it right. I'm not a Pro, I'm an IT guy, laid several rooms of flooring before this Bought the Big famous Blue pads before on amazon, took a chance on this because it looked interesting. The only this is it rolls on what i would call backwards. Its all explained in instructions, feels like the factory might need to reverse their rolling. I prefer to unroll list most people drop the edge and kick the roll across the floor, this is a bit different process, but it wasn't bad, just need to be aware is all. I had no problems with tearing and flimsy as others are reporting, I walked on mine and crawled on floor with knee pads as well, no issues with tearing at all, all cut fine and seemed like high quality to me. Great pad, works well, no issue on install, think some others are negative type of reviewers Worth it all, shipping was good too

Just be care with dragging it over sharp edges, it can snag and tear
Thick and easy to apply. It does tend to tear if there are sharp edges like screw heads protruding from the base though. Just be careful not to drag it over them. Over all it does what is it made for, and the price is great.

Best purchase. I’ve never laid hardwood floors myself before and it was so easy to use.
I love it. It’s cushioned and makes the cement floors under the wood better to walk on.

Fantastic Padding for Engineered Hardwood Flooring
This Black Jack padding is no joke!!! I had tried a different brand, blue-colored 3mm padding and that stuff was a pain to install and it just felt cheap. The blue padding went down okay, but after I installed my engineered hardwood flooring over it, I did not like the sound at all. I used this Black Jack padding under the same engineered hardwood flooring in my downstairs area. Although it is only 2.5mm padding, I love the quality of feel to the touch and the quality I felt as I was installing it. When I walk on my new hardwood flooring, I love the sound!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!! It's relatively inexpensive and worth every penny. When I end up doing more flooring, I will use this product again.

Good stuff
Fairly easy to put down, as good or better than what you’ll get a big box stores, but half the price. Had down for several weeks before I finished laying the flooring down and it help up really well. It’s foam, so you can’t drag stuff over it, but walking on it isn’t enough to do any real damage, and the fact that it’s black makes any dirt/debris easy to see when you’re cleaning it up before laying down flooring.

OK for what we spent.
A few cons: 1. You have to roll it out the opposite way. You can't just lay it down and kick it out across the room. This is very annoying when you're trying to cut it to size at the wall and corners. 2. The inside of the rolls were scrunched together deforming about a foot length. We ordered enough to have plenty of excess, but if you're cutting it close, the end of these rolls will frustrate you. 3. The plastic you put over the tape is extremely flimsy and we tore it in several places. Make sure you buy tape to cover these areas. 4. The foam is very thin and we put a lot of holes in it by accidently dropping stuff as we were going. Like the metal pull bar to do the ends, the mallet, flooring, tape measure. So, we had to tape up a lot of these holes. Yes, we could've been more careful, but we weren't doing it on purpose and it tore pretty easily. The pros: Almost 1/2 the cost of what we were going to buy at the "big box" store. Sounds just the same as whatever is under the other laminate and hardwoods the previous owners used. We'll probably buy the more expensive "puzzle-type" stuff next time. The rolled up foam is cheaper, but not as easy to work with. Its NOT HARD, but we're lazyish and would rather spend the extra $50 per room to use something that's significantly easier to work with.

This was really worth buying as it’s more expensive in stores. The quality is impressive and it was very easy to cut and use. Even the renovator was impressed and said it’s really good quality. I would buy it again and would recommend it. It came before the expected date!
