Good pedals for the gravel bike
Smooth operating pedals. A bit heavier than the more expensive models but that’s not a problem for me, I need the work and I’m not racing.

Classic for a reason
These are a long-time favorite for good reason: they do the job at a good price. The only negative is the documentation, which is a bit cryptic and assumes knowledge buyers may not have; specifically, how to properly position the cleats on a shoe (there are good YouTube videos on that but you’d think Shimano would have its own), and a clearer explanation of adjusting the spring tension (i.e., that having less tension means looser connection so easier release for newbies).

What can you say, these set the standard!
These pedals set the standard for performance and value. They are so good the only reason to buy XT or XTR pedals is if you just have to have those letters on your pedals. I’ve had several sets of these pedals on my bikes over the years. They are easy in, easy out, dead reliable and have bombproof durability.

Perfect entry level cycling
I switched over to these after 15 years of mountain bike riding. These are a game changer and enchant the ride for sure. Can adjust to you liking, I like it a little loose so I feel like I have more control of clip in and out.
