Electrified 915B455012-O Electrified 915B455012 Factory Original Bulb in Generic Housing for Mitsubishi Televisions

As many other posters have mentioned, this bulb exploded 10 hours after installation, just as the TV was powering down (as other posters have also noted).I have a Mitsubishi WD-92842 and I am positive I fully and correctly inserted the housing with the working bulb fresh out of the box.I turned on the TV and all was good -- until I turned off the TV, at which point (literally within 2 seconds of the TV powering off) I heard a loud "POP". I unplugged the TV, waited for the bulb to cool, and pulled it out of the back (which required me to unscrew everything, etc.).At that point, I heard shards of glass (or something) rattling inside the bulb itself. This literally did not last a day -- clearly there is something wrong here if this is happening so often to customers buying this. I had to put my old/dark bulb back in and am hating life.The most frustrating part? This unit comes with a 180-day replacement guarantee. However, since I didn't install it after 30 days, Amazon no longer gives me a way to claim a replacement/refund for this item with the seller. I can't find a link to contact the seller about this purchase either. So I'm posting here.Because I feel stuck, I have already ordered a replacement from the same seller, and have already paid for it on Amazon. However, I just got a notification that the unit is delayed and will not arrive for 2 days even though originally I was promised overnight shipping. So now I'm doubly upset -- I won't have my new bulb now for 48 hours, and I will have had to pay twice for it. If the seller sees this and can fix it, I'll update this post accordingly -- but at present, I'm pretty dissatisfied.

Not that impressed. The bulb almost seems to shift in degrees of lighting. While not a disastrous purchase, I think I will go with the actual manufacturer next time.

Bulb blew out after usage for a little over a month. Don't buy this bulb unless it comes with a warranty from the seller.
