The posted set sizes do not match any of the conversion chart sizes. Any idea what country these are for?

The numbers on these hooks are NOT accurate to US steel hook sizes. Steels are labeled as numbers, yes, but the numbers given on these is far different than what we normally use. You MUST use the mm sizes to choose a hook if you are working lace with these. The largest hook in this set is NOT a '0' as it is labeled, but rather just smaller than a US 6, while the smallest hook that they label as a 12 is finer than a US 14.

Ok, is the no.2/1.50mm the same size or similar in size to no.7/1.65mm steel boyd hook? i have a pattern that calls for 7/1.65mm.

1.50mm is similar to 1.65mm. I don't necessarily use the needles indicated in that pattern but rather use a needle size that produces the correct gauge. In other words, before starting the project I make what should be a 4" x 4" sample. If the needle size indicated in the pattern does not produce the correct size sample, I adjust try a different needle. Often the needle size called for in the pattern produces the correct gauge, however, sometimes not.

Are these inline or tapered?

These are tapered. I typically prefer inline and yet these are by far my favorite hooks. In this case, I wouldn't let a preference for either style deter you from trying them. They are so comfortable to work with and move smoothly through any stitch.

Are these approx 1/4 inches across? i'm trying to compare the size of the handle to the tulip steel set as i want the thickest handle possible.

Handles are about 3/8" where the grip is at widest point, and about 5/16" where the grip is at thickest point.

Underbart att virka med dessa

Sköna ergonomiska virknålar i fina glada färger. Passar min virkteknik helt perfekt. Helt klart värt priset! Hade bara önskat att de små skydden/metallhattarna hade gått att fästa vid virknålen på nåt sätt medan man arbetar med den, då de lätt gömmer sig bland garner o trådar.

excellent hooks!

i love these hooks! i have a couple of the medium-size clover amour hooks as well and can confirm that these aren't knockoffs. they're very comfortable to hold and they hook the thread well while still gliding smoothly. i've tried other steel crochet hooks and these are by far the easiest to use. they seem very sturdy, too.

The best crochet hooks

I am a diehard clover amour hook fan. Spent years using traditional hooks, hands cramping, just pushing through. Finally splurged on the regular set of amour hooks and my life changed in the best ways. Now I’ve moved into micro crochet and these hooks are worth every penny. Great quality, threads slide easily over the metal, and the grip is comfortable. And the pastel handles are just so pretty. Be careful, the hook can be sharp!! Haven’t used the super small sizes yet. Love love love these hooks
