This quad copter is perfect for a patient teenager or older who wants a drone on a budget. My first one came broken. One of the red lights on the pods didn't work, and the WiFi signal wasn't present. It flew okay, but only with the included remote control. A replacement was sent the next day when the first one didn't work which was nice. The replacement worked well. The WiFi signal (HD-_____) pops right up when you turn it on and you can fly it from either the included remote OR using an Android or Apple device using the FHD-UFO app. The app connects easily and has a great interface, but two words of caution: The app icons can be confusing. Thoroughly familiarize yourself with all the functions of the app BEFORE you hit the takeoff button! This drone will maintain an altitude which is a great feature, but you still have to fly it against wind or drift. It does NOT have GPS position hold. I've found that the easiest way to fly it while recording video (pretty nice video for the price by the way) is to connect the controller (Turn on drone, turn on control, move left throttle stick up then down one time) THEN connect your mobile device's WiFi to the drone's WiFi signal. If you try to fly it using your phone or tablet's WiFi, know that the range will be very limited. The controller seems to have much better range than the WiFi Video signal I was recording. The two plastic antenna pieces on the top of the remote are FAKE. Don't let them fool you into thinking this thing can go very far. I haven't fully tested the range simply because I don't want it to do a fly-off. Charging the batteries is easy - just plug into any USB plug. Batteries last longer than I thought they would, (Maybe 10-15 minutes of continuous flying). Installing the batteries is a bit tricky because it snags on things inside the drone as you're inserting it, but with some finesse it lines up and slides right in. I weighed the drone with the battery installed and it came in under the 0.55lb cutoff for requiring registration with the FAA. (But always research the regulations for yourself as I may have missed something)

Received this item and I have to say it is very friendly to beginners. The operation is very simple, 2 batteries makes it can stay in the sky for about 20 minutes, which enough for a person like me that won't play it for long time. I like the foldable design, I can put it in my backpack and take it to many places. The led light is quite useful too, love it

I absolutely love this drone! I'm a beginner so, I had a bit of a hard time controlling the drone(as you can see from the video), but after playing with it for a bit (and getting it stuck in a tree)I got the hang of it. Something to take note on is the battery needs to charge for an hour, and the battery life is only 9 minutes. But ththe drone comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, so I suggest charging them both. Also, when you attach your phone, make sure you take your phone case off. I have a samsung s8 with an otter box commuter case, and had to take the rubbery part off just to have my phone securely in the phone case holder. Also, maybe play with the drone in an open field without any trees. Overall, love the product, and I can't wait to play with it again.

First of all it came late. I order a lot on Amazon and rarely do I get things late but this was one of them. Operating with phone is difficult. Worst of all is my sin wrecked it once. Wasn’t too bad but the blade broke and we replaced it. However, the motor broke as well and it is now unusable. We have had other drones and wrecked them plenty, I understand they won’t last forever but it was a weak wreck and shouldn’t have broke in that way.

Have had several bad experiences with drone purchases on Amazon, thought that maybe paying a little more would get me better quality - WRONG. This one is NOT worth the price tag. Cheaply made, would not even connect with the controller, does not fly and as usual poorly written confusing instructions. Has lots of flashy lights that just contribute to the cheap feel. Made in China - save yourself the hassle of ordering it then having to return it.

Excellent drone for oversees flights...8 hrs from Boston to Paris... Sneriously...Fantastic control like a racing drone or U46... Best bang for the buck !!! "Captain Kurk the Political Music Man."

Hard to say much, the drone never connected to the controller. I was able to control it briefly with the app from my phone before that failed also and it flew itself into a tree. Luckily I was able to retrieve it and Amazon customer service was awesome, but I can't recommend this product.

Nice Drone - A bit finicky to set up and connect sometimes - big down side is the photo's and videos don't save to my iphone - so apart from practice flying a drone there is little point to having the camera
