High quality
Audioquest is high quality at a reasonable cost. Works great for audio/video power

The AudioQuest 2 Is a product that works to remove 'dirty power' and 'noise' from A/C power lines
Laptop computers are noted for having 'poor' power sources. This includes interference from other products in the same power circuit (i.e. refrigerators, radios, TV's, etc.). I used this AudioQuest-2 to clean up the power source from my laptop and the stereo power supply in my office. I plugged in all my desk products (USB, telephone, laptop, monitor, docking station and HDTV). I also put a GreenWave 'dirty power remover' module, (also sold by Amazon.com), in-line to the AudioQuest-2. The results were better picture on the monitor and HDTV. Additionally, my streaming music had more details and clarity. Cleaner power results in better sound and improved HDTV/monitor pictures. The AudioQuest-2 gave me A/C power improvement that easily warranted the purchase price of the AudioQuest-2.

Great products.
I like the Powerquest 2 and 3 very much it helped out with the AC noise at 1474mV in this home and with the Greenwave noise cleaner it now at about 53mV. Thank you for your great product.

An Audio Must Have
AQ PowerQuest2 is very effective at filtering HF noise from the mains and also preventing deleterious spikes on the AC. It also has an outlet specifically for 4k/8k TVs. I use this in my high-end audio system for my audio streamer,DAC and CD transport. Also have phono preamp plugged in as well. Highly recommended.

Seems to work good
Haven't had any issues , my stereo is as quiet as a church mouse . No hums no hiss . Stone dead quiet. So that's good

Just it works great.
It does the job all for tires.

Itโs a bottle neck for high end systems.
It doesnโt work well with high-quality gear. It makes the sound unexpectedly. It appears a curtain in front of your speakers. Maybe jut the 4K/8k outlet works!

You get what you pay for. Mine had a major defect and just average sound
I was excited when AudioQuest announced this unit and its bigger brother, the PowerQuest 3. Both are affordable alternatives to their big-boy power conditioners in the Niagara line. But, alas, as with everything, you get what you pay for. This unit is all plastic, as to be expected at this price point. But it comes with its own, captive power cord. On one hand, this saves you the expense of buying an after-market cord; but on the other, also prevents you from upgrading it to something better. I was pleased though to find it was a custom-made AudioQuest cord with a 3x14 awg rating. That's pretty impressive on such a relatively inexpensive unit. It has an on/off switch and a reset button, which protects the unit in the event it is tripped by an actual surge/spike. What makes this unit so enticing is that it offers: 1) a high current outlet, which is very useful for those with high output amps/receivers; and 2) a special plug specifically filtered for a high def (4K) television. The owner's pamphlet states that it may be beneficial for blu-ray players as well. I did not try it with a disc player, but it seemed to work wonders for the crispness of picture and richness of colors on my 55" Samsung TV. This unit did not fare nearly as well on sound, though. Right out of the box, it was ill-focused, dark, muddy and dynamically polite, to be expected. And after several days of constant use, it began to open up and dynamics and focus improved considerably. Unfortunately, what began as a rather dark sonic character eventually lightened up too far in the opposite direction. The resultant sonic palette was rather gray and washed out, lacking warmth and richness. It was refined and had a pleasant perspective (not too forward, not too laid back), but lacked fullness and power. I attribute this to its inherently lean sound. Deep bass was tight but light. This characteristic did not benefit full symphony orchestra recordings or movies. Worst of all, however, I began hearing distortion here and there on a variety of movies and CDs, which worsened as time went on. Combined with the thin sound, I soon began to suspect something was amiss. I removed the unit and upon close examination, I discovered a 1" long, deep cut in its power cord, which went all the way through to the wires inside. I do not know how detrimental this defect was to its overall lean sound, but I can state with almost certainty it was causing the distortion I was hearing (which went away completely once I removed this unit). It's disheartening to realize that even a reputable company like AudioQuest can fail at quality control. This is a serious defect which is, frankly, unacceptable. I returned this unit back to Amazon and received a full refund. Incidentally, the only difference between this unit and its more expensive sibling, the PowerQuest 3, is the number of outlets. The "3" offers two high current and two HD TV plugs, along with the identical 4 standard plugs. UPDATE: AudioQuest has commented on this review and kindly pointed out there is another significant difference between these two units than just the additional plugs I noted above. The PQ3 provides "Ultra-Linear" filtering, while the PQ2 offers just "Linear" filtering. This means that the PQ3 offers both Common-Mode AND Differential-Mode filters. Theoretically, the PQ3 should offer better performance than the 2.

great power outlet - but does it enhance your audio?
I am going to review this as a power outlet first, a power noise filter second, and an audio enhancer third. As a power outlet As a power outlet, it's great. It is a sturdy piece of hardware, well designed so it doesn't slip around, and quite stable. I love the upright shape, it saves space and is very easy to access the outlets. It can also sit on its side with rubber feet, and has screw mount brackets for a wall or shelf mount. The outlets are all tight with no wiggle, and without those annoying built-in safety caps a lot of them have no. The outlets are fairly well spaced (30cm prong-to-prong) but your larger power adapters, or those designed at right-angles, could block the neighbouring outlet. The front has some status lights, not too bright so they won't distract in a dark room. The back has two USB charging outlets. I wonder if they feature the noise suppressing technology that Audioquest is famous for? That would be a great deal, since their Jitterbug product does just that and costs $75. Audioquest can you answer that for me? I don't have any way of testing it. But at any rate, it's useful to have them because it can potentially clear up two outlets if you are charging by USB. The back also a coax filter, a reset button, and a power switch. I wish the power switch and reset button were shielded against accidental press, but they are not. Just need to be careful when reaching around the back. The power cord is captive, thick but still flexible. It is 14AWG and labeled "simple concentric - long grained copper" on it. Not sure what that means but Audioquest is a leader and innovator in power cable design, so I expect it's special. It's about six feet long. I really love that it ends in an offset right-angle plug, absolutely the best design for tight spaces. Thank you Audioquest! It was really easy to plug and unplug, while crawling on hands and knees behind my furniture where my audio equipment is installed. As a power noise filter I have a wicked ground loop hum in my office, where I have my secondary stereo system. Some equipment isn't affected at all, but on some equipment it's a constant hiss, hum, and digital gurgling. I tested the Powerquest with the noisy equipment and it didn't suppress anything: all the noise was there, same as before. In contrast, my Hum X device gets rid of 95% of it. Maybe it isn't designed for ground loops. As an audio enhancer This is a tricky one: does a power outlet improve your sound? Some people say no, it's impossible, and others swear by it. I bought the Powerquest for my main stereo system (not the office system with the ground loop hum). On a first listen, it sounded about the same as it had before, plugged into a standard office surge protector/power outlet. But after a while, my impression was that the bass was deeper and more responsive, the treble slightly more extended, and the overall sound more realistic and responsive. My amplifier uses a rare push-pull Darlington transistor drive stage, similar to tube amplifiers, and it's always been very dynamic and realistic: I felt it was more so with the Powerquest. But the differences were subtle and I did not do a lot of A-B testing. Honestly I just like to listen to music and not obsess over my audio equipment. I think the Powerquest made my music sound better. Maybe you will too. Overall, this is a great power outlet with surge protection and I think it's worth the price for that alone: quality power outlets aren't cheap and this one is really well designed. As a noise filtration device, it didn't help with my ground loop problem at all, and I couldn't tell what else it may have a been doing. As an audio enhancing device, I think it made my music sound better. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Fantastic!
Iโm replacing a very heavy and old power wedge from the 80โs! (It was a good one). This one is far lighter and much nicer to store behind my setup. Great warranty too! Not sure of a sound difference. Iโm already using Nordost cables for my JM Labs and they sound pretty crystal clear already. Happy with my purchase!

Great product
Very nice product. You can't go wrong with Audio Quest. I feel a little better having my hi fi components plugged into this bar.

I was skeptical but improvement was noticeable.
My gear is now well protected and noticeable sound improvement in a home with older wiring, with many LED, CFC, fluorescent lights and electric appliances.
