Durable, Quiet Rock Tumbler
Great tumbler. It's very well made. It's heavy but sturdy enough to be able to handle 5 pounds of rocks easily. The rubber insert acts both as a sealer and sound damper reducind the noise produced during tumbling. There is, however, no speed control. So of you need to be able to control the speed, I would suggest you look elsewhere. I have now used this for 2yrs and am very happy with it. I would definitely recommend this rock tumbler.

Thumlers Tumbler Model B
Thumlers Tumbler Model B is a quality heavy duty tumbler. The tumbling barrel lined with a heavy rubber material shows no wear after a couple of years of tumbling glass shards into beach glass. I highly recommend this product as I am totally pleased with its performance.

Can tumble larger rocks in here
I started with a smaller tumbler (3 lb. capacity) and wanted a bigger one to tumble larger rocks. I was able to get about 12 pounds of rocks into this tumbler, and it seems to be doing a good job. The noise level is not too bad, no worse than my smaller tumbler, although it is very finicky about where I place it. My garage floor, where my other tumbler runs problem-free, appears not to be level enough for this bigger one; it started making strange noises after about half an hour there, whereas it runs fine in my laundry room. The machine is well-made and the lid remains securely in place. I have had to oil the roller parts more than they recommend, which isn't a big deal.

Squeaked like crazy out of the box.
Only advice that came with it was to oil the motor. I noticed that the larger belt sheave was glue on crooked and I could do nothing to get it aligned straight. This will shorten the life of the belt, for sure, and probably the motor. After 5 seconds of running, it started squeaking so loudly, I had to turn it off. After trying everything I knew to do, I added some light weight oil to each ceramic bearing, and that did the trick! It's been 2 days running now with no annoying sounds whatsoever. I think I'm going to like it! I wish the seller would put some manufacturer's info on how they recommend to oil the motor bearings.

Works great!
Great tumbler! I actually only use it for the first two steps, and then I put my rocks in a vibratory tumbler to do the last two. This way my rocks get that lovely tumbled shaped, but in a reduced amount of time. I was surprised by our quiet but the machine is. My old tumbler was much smaller, and about three times as loud! I can’t really testify to the directions that were included for tumbling, because I do my own thing. I have noticed that directions that usually come with these machines tend not to be sufficient for getting good results. I tmp on my first step for 3 weeks and the second for 10 days. I also burnish between my steps for at least several hours. But that’s just me.

Piece of Garbage
I bought this tumbler and it didn't even run for the first cycle - less than 7 days before it started squeaking and the drum would not rotate, The motor is garbage and is a waste of time. The seller FindingKing is the worst seller I have ever encountered and has refused to refund my money. Don't order from them - they are not part of Amazon Prime.

Great for tumbling glass!
After reading reviews of other tumblers, I chose this one to tumble glass for my garden. This is my first tumbler. It is quiet and has a strong and durable motor. I've been tumbling glass for 6 months straight. You do have to be mindful of the load, so follow the load recommendations in the instruction book. I overloaded my last batch (3/4 full, broken glass, including water, ceramic balls and coarse grit) and the belt gave out. Fortunately I ordered spare bearings and belts months ago so it was a quick fix. Be sure to oil the bearings, nylon rollers and the motor regularly. I put in a new load of glass every 5- 7 days (5 days is optimum to smooth the edges and achieve the frosted look). So I oil these parts prior to starting a new load. This is a very durable tumbler and one that will last if properly maintained and loaded.

I own several other tumblers, but this one really ROCKS!(pun intended!)
I love the size of rocks I can tumble in my 15# tumbler versus the 3# barrel tumblers AND the amount of rocks per session I can do with it! I’m actually trying to order another one but have been running into a snag thus far, but once I get past that problem I’ll be a happy camper… i mean happy TUMBLER?! Lol!
