Great, nice to have a larger bottle that saves using boxes. Value for money, fresh. I add liquid to drawers and let it drip down over night, then put on a cleaning wash. Bottle arived, no leaks, good size and works. Helps to clean the seal and filter first. If I want a deep clean, I use the same company's sink and drain cleaner. Also if machine has stale socks smell, I will put on a 90 degree or 75 degree empty 30 minute wash to flush first. Recommend

Very effective, in common with all HG products in my experience. I’d been experiencing a problem with residual water accumulating in the fabric conditioner dispenser of the washing machine. Essentially, what was required was a good brushing out of the area above the drawer, to unblock the little holes which supply water - then a general cleaning of the parts you can’t reach manually, using the HG Washing Machine Cleaner & Odour Freshener. You pour a quantity of the powder from the bottle into the dispenser normally intended for washing powder or liquid. If you’ve become used to using washing tablets dropped straight into the drum, don’t do as I did and forget to adjust the drawer for powder dispensing. If you do, most of the cleaner will become caked and remain in the drawer. Anyway, second time lucky in my case and problem now solved. The machine is visibly cleaner throughout and not harbouring residual water, hence a lot fresher too.

This is a good product, at first after using on a 60 degree cycle the smell remained. I think this is due to the high temperature boiling the bacteria in the machine. I then used on a quick cycle 30 degree and it now smells really fresh.

Tried everything and this seemed to work and get rid of the nasty smell.

This stuff is unbelievable. My washing machine wasn’t performing as well as it should and so I did a machine clean with this product and so much gunk and build up poured out of the filter. Previously the filter had always appeared clean, which didn’t make sense as the machine wasn’t performing, after this product it’s flushed out years of build up and gunk that other products couldn’t. Will definitely purchase again.

Big Fan of HG products, used them regularly with my domestic appliances. Does what it says on the tin. Excellent and great value!

We don't have an old washing machine but wanted a product to help remove some of the soapy scum that remains in the rubber seal around the inside of drum. It has not worked at all really and not done anything to remove the smell from the machine. not a great product for the purpose, we feel
