I KNEW it had to be out there.....it was just a question of the commitment to track this sucker down. I've been on a hunt for a cleansing balm that actually functioned the way a cleansing balm is supposed to without costing me an arm and a leg. Cause my brain, being the crazy, miswired thing that it is, would NOT let me keep ordering expensive balms that I was LITERALLY washing down the drain. So the search was on. There are requirements: it must remove makeup completely (including mascara), it must do its job without requiring excessive time or manipulation on my part (I just wanna scrub my face, I don't need an arm workout), it must emulsify into a cleanser that washes away cleanly without leaving a weird residue behind. That's it., If it does anything in addition to that, (scent, skin care boosts, reverses all signs of aging and cures cancer) I will factor it into my final decision, Hint: this doesn't do those last two things., It does however do everything on the required list and it does it incredibly well. PLUS it has a very light scent that I like.....I can't decide if it's floral/citrus or just botanical/citrus. I'm not a fan of floral scents cause it reminds me of my Grandma's skin care stuff, so I'm gonna say botanical/citrus. Not heavy though. It also leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized. I do a double cleanse followed by skin care, so it's kind of hard to say if it has a lasting effect or not.....just thought I'd throw that in for those who just use a cleansing balm. (I have no idea how that works, but hey, you do you and kudos if it works for you. You'll probably love how this leaves your skin feeling.) It is also almost 4 oz., so a HUGE amount of product for only $15!!! My brain can totally get on board with this one. Considering this search started because I needed to replace the Farmacy Green Clean and I refused to spend $22 for 2 oz of product. So, yeah. This is my find. I've tried 6 of them now, and some of them were legitimately catastrophic failures. I have one left to try, but it's more expensive than this and doesn't have all the "skin love" bonuses as this one. I'm fairly sure this is MY HOLY GRAIL BALM!!! Review: Just as Good as Pricey Balms - This is a terrific and reasonably priced cleansing balm. Its sherbet-like texture reminds me of IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup (at $38) with less fragrance which my sensitive skin appreciates more. Though some skincare snobs might balk at the fact that its key ingredient used to shift makeup and sunscreens is mineral oil, the same is true about some very pricey balms out there (I'm looking at you, Eve Lom). So considering the competition and my experience with spendier balms, this one makes me really happy. It wicks all of my heavy duty sunscreen right off. I doubt that in winter I will bother with the classic water-based second cleanse, but this balm doesn't strip my skin to make it intolerant of that extra step. I feel it out day to day. It's great, pairing beautifully with my Drunk Elephant Pekee bar as a second step or really any other water-based cleanser I want. Sometimes I hop straight to the toning step. Though my good skin might be the combination of this product and other reasonably priced Korean skincare goods I found here on desertcart, my face looks the best it has in years. Seriously, I looked in the mirror this morning and was happily surprised to see what a couple weeks of moderate self care could do. Wish I'd found this and other reasonably priced Korean options earlier in life; in my 20s I was a department store skincare junkie. Oh, to have all that money in a retirement plan instead!

Just as Good as Pricey Balms

This is a great buy
I absolutely love this cleansing balm. I went through a whole jar of this product and did not realize the impact it had on my skin until it was gone. After using this for over 6 months (yes it lasted that long) I ran out and decided to purchase an oil cleansing balm by Palmers (worst decision ever). The Palmers was not at all what my skin needed so I stopped using it after a few uses and more than a few breakouts. I went back to just using my Neutrogena Face wash. Apparently, my skin needs a double cleanse to function properly and I am so happy to have this back in my skincare regimen. The balm has a light scent that gives a great sensorial experience. It emulsifies and washes away easily and leaves my skin feeling nourished. I would recommend this to a friend, hell even an enemy.

MY NEW FAVORITE MAKEUP REMOVER BALM!!!
OMG! This is the holy grail of makeup remover balms and I"m not exaggerating at all! I've tried 4 other brands of balms, eye makeup remover tonic, wipes, creams, you name it. I was tired of spending $20+ on a balm that would last maybe 3 weeks. After reading the previous reviews for this product, I decided to give it a try. First off, this stuff smells AMAZING! I mean, I love the smell of this balm! I only needed a quarter-size amount and it removed every bit of makeup I had on and please note I wear full coverage foundation, concealer, powder, blush and waterproof mascara and eyebrow pencil. I used the little spoon thing it came with to get a small amount, rubbed it between my first three fingers and applied liberally to my entire face. Once I did that, I went my hands and rub in to help remove debris. Then I wash off like normal cleaner. I always follow with a toner to get any left over makeup off, but this stuff works awesome! I highly recommend and will be purchasing again when I'm about to run out.

It Does Exactly What It Says!!!!!
Very Powerful: Within Three days of using this, I noticed a difference. This cleanser went beyond my skins surface and began working on my pores. I was surprised, initially, Because it aggressively honed in on all of my skins issues- all at once! If you do purchase this, Do the skin test prior to use!!!!!!!!!!!! And, You may have to give your skin time to adjust. I feel that I will is use this once or twice a month. It’s a Luxurious Product and you’ll see that they’re Very Serious about Skincare!

Great Cleansing Balm, Will Repurchase
I went to Amazon to find an (affordable) cleansing balm after hearing the internet rave about them and getting confirmation from a dermatologist (Dr. Dray, she has a youtube channel, if you're interested). This oil based cleanser does a *great* job at breaking down your make-up to allow for a less abrasive make-up removal process. Also the price is half of the other highly rated cleansing balms (yes, I am talking to you, Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm from Clinique). Which I have used, and this works just as well, if not better, IMHO. However, I am not allergic to fragrance, nor do I have overly sensitive skin, so I cannot speak to that. And if you are one of those who tries to lean away from skincare products with fragrance (but are not allergic), I get it, however since you are washing it off, it leaves less to be concerned about versus a moisturizer, serum, etc with fragrance. If you're curious about cleansing balms, I think this is a great, affordable place to start and I have 100% implemented this specific product in my skincare routine and will continue to.

It’s greasy
Bought this hoping for a less expensive version of Clinique Take the Day Off or IT Cosmetics ByeBye Makeup. Let’s just say you get what you pay for. This is very greasy. It contains mineral oil, which may be the issue. It does remove makeup well but did not leave my face feeling clean like my other favorites do. I experienced some minor breakouts.

Love this product. Will buy again!
Looooove this make up remover by Ebanel! It comes in a fairly large container and will last a long time in my opinion. I use this at night to take off my makeup and it doesn’t take much to smooth over your face. It goes on smoothly, it doesn’t stink or have a funny smell- and it easily removes all my make up by washing this off with warm water and damp wash cloth. It moisturizes and leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and hydrated. The price is more than fair; and I received this product right away in excellent condition.
