Hill's Science Diet Large Breed Light Adult Dry Dog Food 1-5, Quality Protein for Weight Management Support, Chicken & Barley, 30 lb. Bag

Got a great big golden boy and a big white pyrenees girl, both about 100 lbs., and they both love this food. They will eat the individual pieces like treats. I buy it--it's getting to be expensive though--because I want to keep their weight down to protect wear and tear on their joints, etc. My golden is 11 now, and this is not a food especially for seniors, but he loves it, it's lower in calories and filling, and I add green beans, and joint supplements for him. I also add a spoonful of canned dog food for each dog mixed in with it all, and they are very healthy and happy so far.

Two good sized dogs with breed propensity for weight gain equals a good food they both like that keeps them healthy, happy and hopefully long-lived. I buy the 30 lb size so I can handle them and pretty much buy in bulk.

Dog loves this food. Brand recommended by vets. A little speedy, but worth it for quality. Came well packaged. Will continue to purchase.

Great dog food but expensive

Our dog needed to slim down and this has helped. She loves the taste and looks forward to eating.

Our dog really loves this food and we've ordered it multiple times. Something that others should know: Packaging varies greatly! It generally comes well packaged, but on occasion the packaging is substandard. If it is not well-packed, it can cause the dog food to crumble when you get to the bottom of the bag. Usually it's a 2 day turn around, so we've started ordering early. On our last order--yesterday--I'd checked the status while cooking dinner and it showed it hadn't yet shipped, so I assumed it would arrive today (which I would have preferred). Nope, they delivered sometime last night and it had zero packaging!! So a $50.00 bag of dog food was just left on our porch overnight for someone to possibly tamper with, animals to rip open, etc. Moving forward, I may return to getting this product elsewhere.

We’re been using this for a year now, our dog loves it and helps to keep him on a healthy weight. I’d say I saw improvement after just a month of switching to this food, it was so much easier for him and us to help him lose his extra weight.

For whatever reason when we order dog food from Amazon it’s better than when we get it from an actual food store. For whatever reason my dog does better on this!! 🤷🏻‍♀️ can’t explain why

Our four-year-old dog's dog food size changed. At last, he is consuming larger bites. Our selection is the 30-pound bag of Hill's Science Diet Adult Light Large Breed Dry Dog Food, Chicken Meal & Barley. At first, he did not seem to enjoy it, but over time, he came to enjoy eating this one. Compared to other dog food, the food quality appears to be quite clean and healthy. My dog appears shiny and healthy. We'll keep promoting this brand. When compared to a veterinary or local pet store, the price is excellent.

I like the subscription program because I do not have to carry this bag out of my car as it’s on my front porch when I come home from work the light dog food has really helped my lab stay in shape. he is not hungry as we feed him. What is prescribed for his weight.

Good but pricey

We love the hills science pet food. We have a German Shepard/ husky so we get the large breed food (as recommended by our vet). We have had many of the flavours including both regular and diet and my dog enjoys them all. This particular one is a favourite. The vet recommend this brand to protect our dogs joints and give him the nutrients he needs to be healthy and active. The bag is pretty heavy and came in a large awkward box - but I’m guessing that’s to protect it from rips and such in shipping. That was fine with us. It was a great price and so easy to order. Will be getting it from here again.

This food works for my dog. He has acid buildup in his stomach that leads to vomiting and we had to find a low fat food. We were on the GI low fat from the vet that costs a fortune. We ended up trying this food and it is perfect. No GI problems at all. The monthly subscription saves me from having to reorder this ever time. Great price too.
