The tube on my trek is oval and larger than most. This is the only rack that fits my bike. I mounted my bike and traveled several times between Texas and Ohio. There was a lot of construction and rough roads. The rack held my bike securely during all my travels. It is very easy to mount and holds the bike securely. A great value ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good choice for us! *by M***R on December 14, 2019* As others have mentioned, the assembly instructions could be better, but it was not that difficult to ascertain the proper method. We wanted a carrier for local trips (no long interstate trips) and this fits the bill. We installed two of these on our Yakima rails atop our 2013 Jetta Wagen and they work well! Seem to be well made and sturdy. Not sure the locks are all that secure, but it is only a deterrent, and we don't usually leave the bikes/car unattended. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Terrible instructions to assemble. A waste of time *by R***S on December 12, 2019* Assembling this rack is torture. It took 2 reasonably intelligent guys an hour. Not worth it. I’d pay more next time for a rack that’s assembled. Quality is ok. The ratchet straps are not easy to release. My Yakima puts this to shame.
