Did not work on my STIHL MS290
This carb did not work for my saw, at 1st I thought possibly error on my part in set up, but I could not get carb to properly adjust, I have been working small engines for about 30 years, with success normally, though not my daily job chainsaws etc. I do work on jet engines daily since 1981 cars-trucks-tractors etc. gas and Diesel as a hobby since I was about 9. So I'd say i'm a pretty experienced wrench turner, I took the saw to a buddy that does works small engines professionally just in case I missed something, the "new carb" was the issue, kudos to Amazon issuing the refund, I did not contact the vendor for resolution as I could not afford any additional "downtime on the saw" maybe vendor exchange with new would have worked. Paid much more for an OEM carb but OEM new carb worked right out of the box as this one should have.

Brought my 029 Super from the 90's back
Had a Stihl 029 Super chainsaw from the 90's that just refused to run. Cleaned the carb, took everytjing apart, ot would run for about 30 seconds then die out. No matter the adjustments, all to no avail. Then came the quick amazon search, for under $20 i could get a brand new carb.2 days pass, it arrives, I slap this baby on in less than 5 minutes, choke it out and within 10 pulls she fired right up and runs perfect again. Highly recommend this carb if you are having crazy issues with yours and tuning or anything doesn't work.

Tried everything else... this did the trick
A relative's Stihl MS290 chainsaw was idling poorly and would stall unless you kept goosing the throttle. I rebuilt the original Walbro carb with a K10-HD kit, and checked everything else I could think of, but it still had issues. Then I installed a new aftermarket carb I got on eBay, and that didn't help either. I was suspicious of the eBay carb, however, so I gave this one from Amazon a try. Well, the saw is fixed and ready for firewood season! It runs better than it has in years. The carburetor I'm reviewing was sold by "AmazingSuper" and fulfilled by Amazon. It has one "ZAMA" logo stamped on it, but I'm not sure it's a genuine Zama carb. Every Walbro and Zama carb I've seen has a model number stamped on it, and this had none. The layout of this carb appears identical to the original Walbro carb, except the L/H adjustment screws don't have limiter caps -- they're tamper-friendly. ;) The gaskets and diaphragms inside may very well be replaceable with a Walbro K10-HD kit. The adjustment screws all work as expected, and were set in a good place from the factory. The carb was packed in its own little cardboard box with bubble wrap. It fits perfectly on the MS290. Throttle and choke linkages work well. A new air compensator boot is not included, so pull it off your old carb. Some info on the first aftermarket carb I tried, in case you run into the same one: it was completely generic, with no branding. Not packed in a box, just a bag. The idle speed screw was a different style, too big to fit the rubber grommet that holds the tank vent, and it barely even worked. The L/H screws were turned out really far from the factory, and had to be there for the saw to run. I wonder if that carb was even made for this saw.Anyway, this product was well worth the money to get the ol' Farm Boss running properly. I'd recommend buying from an Amazon-fulfilled seller so you can easily return the carb if there's something wrong. Compare what you get to the photos and check that the adjustment screws look the same.

Not worth the trouble
Well I bought this on Aug 3 2016 and by Sept 30 2016 it was rattling around inside just like the original one that lasted about 10 years. So, although I will inspect it further, I will have to give this product a rating on (1) because it did perform for 2months, one month beyond the returnable date.

My repair experience with this saw is I have changed out drive sprocket evidently Stihl went to more teeth for better longevity
For some reason it spews gas into the air cleaner. When I was switching carbs I didn't see a reed valve so I'm not sure what the problem is.Due to other commitments I've not been able to spend much time figuring it out. I will update this time permitting. My repair experience with this saw is I have changed out drive sprocket evidently Stihl went to more teeth for better longevity and the clutch which broke into three pieces.
