It’s a Beauty: Durable and Spacious Grill
This is a very spacious and nice grill. I was shocked at how large it is , expecting to have one I can only assume is the size of the smoky joe. I was able to cook an entire rack of ribs and two steaks with plenty of room. Later I put an aluminum tin filled veggies and the lid closed with absolutely no problem . The kettle style is not only useful for things like tins in the grill but It is really nice looking. This grill works well even if you don’t have a table. I cooked on the ground. I wish the arm for holding the lid had a better way to be tucked away when not in use because I’ve been scratched by it trying to move it around a few times. It is a very durable grill. It has a free warranty for 10 years. I had an issue with my lid that was very minor and noticed it the first day. Rather than return my purchase I contacted customer service and Weber has already mailed me out a new one. They are amazing and nice! If you are looking for portability, the ability to grill for a group, and a nice looking grill, this is your grill. The enamel process that they used for the finish is not like cheap paint on other grills. The finish does not peel or have any issues when heated. I just wish it had a carrying bag like the Smoky Joe. Currently there isn’t one large enough for this big boy.

It's a WEBER... GREAT BRAND!
What can I say, it's a Weber 18" grill.... Awesome as always and feels very sturdy and larger than I thought!

Amazing little grill; perfect for a small family.
Fantastic grill for travel or at home. I bought this specifically for camping & vacation, but now it's the most used grill in my collection. I've grilled veggies, burgers, pork chops, london broil, brats and chicken. Set up properly, it's also suitable for higher-temp smoking (mine seems to like to run about 275 with both vents about 1/4 open; any less than that puts out the fire). I've done a couple chuck roasts and ribs in this thing and all came out great. It's also wonderfully fuel-efficient. A 6 hour chuck roast cook used a total of 50 briquettes (standard Kingsford; loaded 25 into a Weber char-basket, put 5 lit on top, then add 5 more about every 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours). If you don't already have them, I strongly recommend getting a set of the Weber char-baskets (I only ever use one in this, but you can't buy them as singles). They fit perfecty under the grate and keep the coals together to get the maximum burn time out of them; it's also very easy to shake the ash off by just jiggling the basket. Also, if you'll be doing longer cooks, the Weber hinged grate could come in handy for adding coals. So far, I've gotten by with just sliding them through the handle area or lifting the grate slightly. My only complaint is the height of it. It's a little too short to leave on the patio, and placing it on most normal-height tables makes it a bit too tall. The Weber table sold specifically for this is more expensive than the grill and doesn't seem all that sturdy. For now, I went to the local W-mart and got a "camp table" (half of the top is wire mesh, meant for holding camp stoves and grills) that is height-adjustable. It works OK, but at some point I'm going to build a table/cart so I can keep it at just the right height.

Love the size and all, having issues putting together....
I love this grill so far but one of the pieces on the handle will NOT unscrew so I can attach it to the lid. Reached out to the Weber site and they had me chat with a bot. Since I registered my grill, I hope I can get the handle piece replaced. Will keep this updated..... Update: Registration required, but....I WAS sent a replacement piece! Got it within a week! Very good customer service! 10/10 WOULD DEF RECOMMEND. Very sturdy grill, and perfect for on the go!

Perfect Size for Tailgating and Small Backyard Cooks, Heats Up Fast for a Portable Grill
Bought this for tailgating mostly, wanted something smaller then our full size kettle grill that's still easy enough to toss in the truck without taking up half the trunk. Also figured it'd be handy for quick weeknight grilling when firing up the big grill feels like overkill for a couple burgers. Assembly was quick, maybe fifteen minutes out of the box including attaching the legs and wheel, nothing complicated about putting it together. Charcoal gets going fast once lit, had it ready to cook on within twenty minutes or so using a chimney starter, heat holds steady enough for a solid burger and hot dog session without constant fussing with vents. Size is genuinely a good middle ground, bigger then those tiny portable grills that barely fit anything, but small enough to actually load in the truck bed or trunk without rearranging everything else. Lid fits snug and the vents work as expected for controlling airflow, nothing flimsy about the build despite it being the lighter, portable version of Weber's kettle line. For the price, you're getting genuine Weber build quality in a smaller footprint rather then some off brand portable grill that rusts out or warps after a season, real value if you want something reliable without paying full size kettle prices. Only complaint is the grate spacing is a little tight for really big cuts of meat, works great for burgers and dogs but a whole rack of ribs would be a squeeze. Great portable option, would buy again for tailgating season.

Versatile and good for everyday cooking or travel
This Weber is the perfect size for grilling pork/lamb chops, steaks, and sausages for a typical growing family of 4 to 6 people. It has 18" of cooking space, which is larger than the smokey Joe model (at 14"), and the grilling grate sits a little higher from the coals than the Smokey Joe and I prefer cooking that way. Compared to the standard 22" Weber grill, you will only need about half as much coal to cook the items that I've mentioned above, and that's a big saving if you like to grill regularly for the family. I also own the 22" model and I use that only when we have guests and I need to cook a lot of meat, or if I'm grilling whole chickens, other legs/shoulders or lamb or pork, or ribs. I would not cook whole cuts of meat in this 18" model since it would be a challenge to keep the temperature reflecting from the lid down, and you'd probably end up burning the meat from the top, and also from the sides since the meat would be sitting too close to the coals, even if you were to push the coals to the sides of the grill. The other things that I love about this grill is that the latching mechanism that keeps the lid tightly locked when not in use, and also serves as the lid holder during cooking. It also allows for very safe and easy transportation. Very convenient and useful.

awesome bbq
Solid, good construction materials, clear instructions. The space between the two grills is short so go easy on the charcoal otherwise you'll have too much heat and burn everything.

So macht Grillen spass
