A must for engines!!!!
Been using this fuel additive for the last 12 years can really see and hear the difference when not used I do get a mileage increase with the increased fuel mileage, I believe this product pays for itself. But also, the engine runs smoother, I use it in both gas and diesel engines and in diesel engines, it makes it so much quieter I also added to fuel that I leave in fuel cans the only downfall to this product is if you use more than what is recommended as I used to do It would foul out spark plugs sooner than needed. But that was my fault, not the product I would highly recommend this product works great in older engines with high miles also very effective in both carburated and fuel injected engines

Real experience
About 10 years ago, I was driving a 99 KW with a M11 Cummins in it. It started chugging and lost all power. I was loaded and on the way to deliver. My first thought was the fuel filter. I had spares. Got them swapped out, but saw no improvement. I called our mechanic and he told me that it'd be a week or two before he could even look at it. I limped over to our local TruckPro, and bought three gallons of Lucas. Back then, there were instructions on the bottle, on how to clean out the fuel system. Take the fuel filters off, and fill them with Lucas. I figured it was worth a shot. The first time, no change. I had nothing better to do, so I did it again. No change. The third time, the engine sounded a little different, but was still chugging. The fourth time, it sounded a little better, but still wasn't right. The fifth time, the engine chugged for a second, and then straightened out and purred. I dumped the rest of the last gallon into the tank and headed out. I COULD FEEL MORE POWER than I usually had. Also, the fuel gauge was broke (Company's truck), so I always wrote my mileage between fill ups so I could keep track of how much I had left. The truck averaged around 7.5 MPG. After the Lucas, it got 9.5. for that tank. The next tank of fuel was slightly less, and by the next fill up, it was back to 7.5. After than, whenever I ran Lucas in my truck I saw a marked improvement in my MPGs each time. Unfortunately, at $30ish a gallon, there wasn't much of a fuel savings to be had. (With the price of fuel these days, I should probably do the math again. lol) Now, for the last 8 years, I'm running my own fleet, and I haven't had ANY injector problems in ANY of my trucks. NONE. I'll run more than it suggests, about every couple of months, just to help keep the fuel systems and injectors clean. And whenever I change fuel filters, I fill the new filter with Lucas. It's good stuff.

Best additive on the market for saving your engine from Ethanol loaded gasoline!!!
Lucas Oil Fuel and Injector Cleaner really works!! With the addition of Ethanol to gasoline sold in the US and considering the poor quality of gasoline available to us, the need of an additive to prevent carbon build up on the valves and the emission systems is essential. This product does it! We just purchased an Audi Q5 that has a history of carbon build up in the secondary emission system caused by low grade and low octane gasoline. In the US, even when using premium gas, it is not good enough to prevent the problem. Once the build up occurs, the engine looses power and begins to run rough. The repair requires the transmission and engine to be dropped so the secondary system can be reached and cleaned. This is about an 18-hr procedure and cost around $5000.00. Use of the Lucas Oil is noted to prevent it and we are using it every time fill up, along with the highest octane gas available. So far so good. My previous experience with this product has been with a 1999 F250 Super Duty diesel. I used this product from the day I purchased the vehicle and at it's 150000 check up, the injectors were still rated as 'pristine'! I expect the engine to be good for at least 500k. I purchased this product in bulk and it was a real deal!! It saved me $20 over individual gallon purchases. I use the gallon jugs to refill the small bottles of the same product that we purchased from our local auto parts store. We carry one or two of these small bottles in our vehicles at all times for convenience. This way the product is readily available for use at each fill up. It takes a little extra effort but, considering the likely hood of an engine problem due to low grade gasoline products, it is worth doing what it takes to prevent the expensive of the repair. I highly recommend this product for both gasoline and diesel engines. It really does work!!

Really saves
I use this in all my diesel engines. It keeps system clean and helps lubricate top end. I have been told that my top end is one of the cleanest my mechanic has seem. I use this every fill up. Works for me and I trust lucas brand.

Lucas fuel treatment
This is a fine product, after a couple of tanks using it, our Kia Sedona minivan started getting 2 more miles per gallon (16 to 18 around town and 19 to 21 in the freeway running 75). While this is not a lot, it more than pays for itself in the cost of gasoline, and having a smoother running engine is a bonus. It is not a fuel injector cleaner, but it helps keep them clean and the sparkplugs functioning longer so I can go 2 years on a tune up instead of having to do it every year. Another bonus for the pocket book.

Lucas Oil - Fuel Treatment
A diesel mechanic first turned me on to this product. I have used it in several gas engines. 87 Ford Taurus 3.0 V6 wgn, 87 Dodge Caravan 3.0 SOHC V6, 96 Dodge Caravan 2.4 DOHC 4cyl, several riding lawn mowers and a push mower. I told my father about Lucas Fuel Treatment. He has used it in one gas Mercedes and 3 diesel Mercedes. It seems to have a more profound effect on diesel engines. Every diesel he's used it in has shown profound improvement. Every diesel engine ran better the longer he kept it. He is currently running a 98 6 cyl turbo diesel. It accelerates like a V-8 and can get 30+ mpg highway. Used in gas engines I view this fuel treatment as a solid preventative. If you have an IMMIDIATE problem use something like Sea Foam fuel additive. For the 53,000+ miles I've owned the 96 Caravan I've used the Lucas fuel additive. It does run better now. Fuel economy in my gas engines has shown slight improvement. I get about the same mileage now in my 96 Caravan loaded, as I did empty when I first bought it. I know some of that is also due to good preventative maintenance. Bottom line... I consider Lucas Oil Fuel Treatment to be an essential part of my vehicle/equipment maintenance program. Good summer conditioner
Great product. The only issue was it was too thick to use in winter. It froze up my fuel filter but luckily I had a hand held torch to get things flowing again.
