This is one of the best black teas I've tried. The flavor is rich, smooth, and full-bodied without being too bitter. It brews consistently well and makes a refreshing cup every time, whether enjoyed plain or with milk. The large pack is great value and stays fresh for a long time when stored properly

If you like CTC tea, this is a very flavorful tea. I much prefer it to the other common color brands. The best Indian CTC that I have ever tasted.

I'm so relieved that I decided to switch from Tetley to Wagh Bakri. After four years buying imported Tetley Masala Tea (in tea bags; not loose leaf) and being extremely dissatisfied by the taste, Wagh Bakri has been a game-changer. It has the right blend of spices, is a perfect orange color, and brews on the stronger side - for those who like their tea with a splash of milk.

This is a good tea. Not fantastic, but still quite good. I'm trying to wean myself off of coffee, so I tried this tea on a whim as a substitute for coffee during the day. My wife drinks whole leaf tea that she has to order from Yunnan, China and Darjeeling, India. Wagh Bakri is not as good as my wife's whole leaf tea. It's still very good, though. It has a very robust taste and aroma. It is machine cured, and only takes 2-3 minutes to steep fully. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes to just drink black tea throughout the day. It does not get bitter, even after it's gotten cold.

Excellent for Indian chai!

I'm an enthusiastic tea drinker for decades. I've bought easily 2 dozen types: black, green, pekoe, blends, chais, etc. This time I wanted a powdered-type tea so I could mix my own varieties. To that end I bought this wonderful tea. This tea looks more the size, shape and colour of poppy seeds and the wonderful fragrance...heaven! The flavour...perfect just as it is or mixed in with various things I have on hand. Great flavour! As much as I love ice tea mixes - I do like a well brewed with honey, and lemon, so I bought this fantastic tea and will add powdered lemon juice and a touch of honey. That way I'm not consuming so much sugar. For the pre-made ice tea mixes I've bought and really like, it was a balancing act of getting my caffeine first thing in the morning so I made it with many spoonfuls making it too sugary, or one spoonful in a large mug lessening the sugar as well as the lemony tang but the flavour of the tea is watered down. I learned to make a really strong sugary and highly caffeinated for the first mug of the day and then a watered down version for the rest of the day. Now I can have the balance I really want! This tea is fresh, fragrant ,and flavourful. I highly recommend this brand and this type of tea. It's awesome!

Once you've brewed up some Wagh Bakri you'll never miss the taste of teabags again. Guaranteed. OK, so possibly the only thing I miss about teabags is standing three metres away from the mug, teabag rolled up and held like a dart to see how many goes it took to get the bag into the mug before the kettle boiled. The memory of that pleasure has almost faded away. I was converted 18 months ago in one enlightened afternoon in the garden of my in/out-laws being served the best cuppa of my life, to realise that this experience could be consistenly repeated many times over in the comfort of my own home. Since departing the tea bag trail without a backward glance, other friends and family members have become staunch supporters of the Wagh Bakri blend. Full of flavour, deeply comforting and yet refreshing in one gulp.

It doesn't get bitter from tannins if you let it steep for a long time. A very pleasant tea, indeed. I've been drinking it for a couple of years now, having found it at Walmart when one year they brought in special goodies for the Hindu Diwali festival. I'm glad that Amazon now provides a reliable online source. This isn't the most informative review imaginable but it's just what you expect in a leaf tea.
