Works very good in my exotic boots. If you brush it for a few mnts you will get a nice gloss.

I just used Reptan on my lizard and ostrich boots. Best thing ever happened to them. I see reviews where people had problems with it so I’m offering some tips that should help. If you’re unfamiliar with cleaning and polishing leather Reptan can be a challenge. I recommend you apply it with your fingers and rub it in well making sure to get it into the spaces between scales. It will wash off easily and not stain your skin. Use a liberal amount and apply it evenly rubbing in the direction of the scales. I use a light circular motion being careful not to lift any scales. Don’t worry about the white residue as it dries. White residue between scales is good as that’s where you need the conditioning the most. Once dry, 15-20 mins is fine, lightly buff with a hog hair brush to remove white residue. A natural bristle nail brush works. Don’t use this stiffer brush against the direction of the scales. Then buff with a soft horse hair brush and finally a cotton cloth. Any cloth that sheds can leave bits of lint stuck in the scales, or worse, grab ahold of them and lift them as you polish. Microfiber cloths are not safe to use on exotic skins with scales. A folded up old soft 100% cotton t-shirt is my favorite. Your polished leather should now have a soft shine. Apply a second lighter coat and buff and polish as before. I finish the heels and sole edges with a pigmented wax polish I apply with a cloth scrap. Your exotic leather will take on a glow with the second application and be ready for stepping out in style.

I deployed this Saphir Reptan on a custom John Allen Woodward Black Hornback Alligator wallet. The asset had recently been exposed to a harsh chemical surface cleaner (Lysol) that stripped the natural oils, leaving the scales matte and the deep membrane channels structurally thirsty. ​This conditioner acted as the perfect recovery payload. ​• Penetration: It successfully absorbed deep into the porous "hinges" between the hardened alligator scales without clogging them. ​• Purity: It contains zero cheap synthetic fillers. It hydrated the exotic hide naturally without leaving any greasy or sticky residue behind. ​• Finish: After a standard dwell time and a final buff, the optimal factory glaze was 100% restored. ​If you are running high-tier exotic leather goods and require a mechanically pure conditioner to maintain optimal structural integrity, this is the endgame product.

This is an absolute must if you have any exotic skin boots, shoes or etc. You just rub it in and let it dry (1 hour minimum) and use a fine horse hair brush or a shine rag for an amazing result.

Worth every penny! I used this to rejuvenate a pair of python boots where the scales had started to dry out and curl up. I applied a generous amount of this conditioner, wrapped the boots tightly in saran wrap to press the scales down, let them sit overnight, then removed the wrap in the morning and they looked new! The scales soaked up all the conditioner and were shiny and flat again - I'm so happy with the results. Before and after side-by-side picture included.

Unfassbar gut. Ich hab das auch schon zur Rezension mit dem Saphir-Renomat geschrieben. Ich hatte ein Uhrarmband aus Alligator-Leder zu einer Sammler-Luxusuhr mit erheblichen Anhaftungen von Kunststoff und Weichmacher durch Ausgasungen in der alten Original-Schatulle des Herstellers. Das Problem ist bekannt, vor allem auch für Patek Philippe Uhren in ihren alten Schatullen. Die Anhaftungen wollten durch nichts und gar nichts weggehen, aber mit Saphir-Renomat WIE NEU !!! Ich bin geflasht! Und dann Nachbehandlung mit Reptan. Wichtig ist zu wissen, daß sich für Alligator-/ Reptilien-Leder nicht alle Pflegemittel eignen. Tip: Auf gar keinen Fall zuviel auftragen. Zweiter Tipp: Mit einer feinen und weichen Haarbürste einmassieren ! Ergebnis hat mich sehr überrascht: Wie neu !!! Best of !
