SHANY - Matte Lipstick - Paraben Free/Talc Free - TRUTH

Okay, so I noticed that my lipstick was on the verge of melting when I receive it, but I'm going to just blame that on being delivered in a box on a hot scorching day like this. The lipstick shade is very pigmented and is a gorgeous, pinkish, nude color that soften any look for the daytime. One thing I would recommend for anyone who are considering purchasing this specific shade, to pair it with a pinkish or light brown lip pencil for a perfect blend. As a African American women who struggles to find the right 'nude' lip color, I was skeptical when I first try it on; but I was quickly won over once I Blend in a brownish lip liner and let it set on my lip. The color was beautiful against my skin, and I was being complimented all day at work about my lips. The lipstick turn matte after a couple of seconds, and it never crease or made my lips Chappy and dry. Which is why I would recommend this lipstick to anyone who have trouble with matte lipstick drying out through out the day. The con is the appearance of the lipstick on arrival :( which I feel is not the company fault but the delivery itself. But other than that, I would truly recommend this product, and will be back for more shades!

I love the lipstick itself and the Icon color is beautiful. Problem is I’ve purchased this many times and 90% of the time the lipstick has become attached from the base. Almost impossible to use or apply well.

As the others indicated, lipstick arrived broken and melted. However, I was able to scrape it all out and pack it into tube again. I apply with a lip brush as it isn't strong enough to apply the normal way. Other than that, I absolutely love the color (chosen) and how it feels on my lips. I'm very fussy about color and how it looks with my skin tone, being very fair, I have to be careful of undertones and too bright pigments. It is fairly long lasting, smells nice, feels good. I do wish they could do something about the shipping issues. I would order this again in a heartbeat if I knew it wouldn't arrive destroyed.

I really love the color and the intensity of the red. I was so happy that it was actually red and not medium red. When I tried it, I absolutely loved it. It wasn't too matte to the point where it made my lips look dry which I loved. It also didn't cause me any kind of reaction. The only downside is that it doesn't stay on for long and that's the only reason I didn't give it five stars but other than that, its amazing. I'm really looking forward to buying other colors.

The makeup goes on really smooth, and the color really pops. I can't speak on the longevity of wearing the color all day, because I only tried it on. I gave 4 stars instead of five, because 1 of the three colors ordered was broke up on arrival. I plan to contact the seller, so that I can get another color of the lipstick called player. Other then the mishap the make is really good!

So, I bought this because it was the cheapest purple lipstick I could find. I didn't expect much of it, just wanted my lips purple for Halloween. But OH MY GOD it's amazing. It lasted all day. I was out for lunch with friends and we were all wearing lipstick. Their straws were covered in a variety of reddish lipstick marks, and not a dot of mine rubbed off. I ate lunch and dinner and performed twice on the trapeze without reapplying, and it was still vivid. The only downside is it does make my lips feel cracked, but it was worth it for the incredible lasting power.

Ordered The Icon. Checked it on 2 different screens for accuracy. Not matte, but a sheer creme. Wears off too easily. I knew I should have gotten Milani Matte lipstick.REWRITE A WEEK LATER: Changing from one star to three stars. It actually is not a bad formula. It is not a long wearing matte, but it definitely is not a drying matte either. I keep it as my pocket lipstick instead of/along with chap thingy. Cool.

First off this color, Chosen, is not as advertised. It's much more of a "dusty rose". However I'm not upset by this because I absolutely LOVE this lipstick, it's my new favorite and I wear it almost every day. Personally I find the actual color to be much prettier and universally flattering than the one in the picture.Anyway, this formula takes the cake for matte lipsticks. It's fairly moisturizing and applies like butter- SO smooth. It lasts about all day. This even lasts through a meal- as long as you're being conscious of it.I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone

Pretty color ,, doesn’t last and is cakey after a short time :-(. Good lipstick for the price and color though :-)

Love the color and that it glides on my lips. It last long as well. I'm pleased with my purchase.
