Long life batteries
The media could not be loaded. This past Christmas of 2023 I have decided to do something different. We have no streetlights and our yard is very dark until the spotlight goes on. Being here for 13 years we have never set up Christmas lights outdoors, mainly due to the cost of electricity. Well, to brighten up this past Christmas and future Christmases I invested in solar-powered Christmas lights in various sizes that have Ni-MH rechargeable batteries varying from 400-1200mAh. The downside of these lights is that they carry the lowest capacity batteries that operate the lights for the advertised run time. In the majority of the 14 sets of lights, these did not meet the advertised run time. That is mainly due to the lack of 6 full sun recharge time required. In my area, that is impossible due to tree shade in the summertime, and in the winter when there are no leaves the sun peeks through in and out the tree trunks and branches so these lights don't get that full sun necessary to operate for at least 6 hrs advertised. I had lights in this scenario operate only for 1-3 hours. Another downside is cloudy days. On cloudy days mine as well forget the lights. The solution was to get replaceable Powerowl Ni-MH batteries with much higher capacity and a Powerowl recharger.I got 32 AA2800mAh to replace the batteries that ranged from 400-1200mAh. The new 2800m batteries after fully charging them in the house stayed on all night until the daylight turned off the lights. The following day there was very little sun but these lights stayed on another night until daylight turned them off.I got another set of 32 batteries and hold it as a backup this way I will always have a full supply to replace all batteries in 14 sets of lights.I also wanted to utilize the batteries that came with the lights and started to recharge them. I had 8 400mAh and the recharging indicator red light was blinking. Not knowing what that meant I reached out to the support at Powerowl and asked why the indicator light was blinking.Their first suspicion was the batteries were too low of a capacity at 400. To confirm this they asked to send a picture of those batteries. After reviewing the pictures the company responded quickly stating that these were too low of a capacity and they felt sorry that I could not use these batteries with their recharger but to keep a customer happy they offered to send 8 AA2800mAh as a consolation for my troubles free of charge.Additionally, the rechargeable batteries have improved greatly. The older versions of rechargeables were limited by their memory. The new rechargeables have no memory and these can be recharged as much as 500 times. With the cost of other brand-name, batteries range anywhere from $1.50 per battery in a pack. The rechargeable batteries cost about the same per battery but the brand name once they run out we throw them away while the rechargeable can be recharged and keep on going.I plan to convert all brand-name throwaway batteries in all devices that have batteries in the house and never buy a brand-name battery.

Work well, for people tired of buying batteries once a week.
This is my second order of these batteries. It takes a few charges to get them to their max duration, but they work quite well. I use them primarily in game controllers, flashlights, remote controls, Christmas decorations, etc. They do not last as long as a regular battery, but then I'm not paying those ridiculous prices for new ones constantly. Quite happy with them so far.

Quality batteries at a good pricepoint
I have been using Powerowl AA batteries for about 6 months now and I believe I made a very good choice. The product description on the store page provided all the information I needed to know before making my purchase and I believe the details are accurate. These rechargeable batteries are eco friendly: I was spending a lot of $ on disposable batteries, and those batteries just end up being discarded. I have now replaced all my old rechargeable batteries with these, and now my wife and children have all the batteries they need for their devices. These batteries last as long as the disposable ones, perhaps even longer!I appreciate the thoughtful, professional design. The packaging is no-frills, simple, yet effective. The battery labels are easy to read, look great, and are quality in make.Just keep in mind that these are 1.2v batteries meaning they will excel at powering remote controls, toothbrushes, smoke detectors, and all sorts of everyday household items. If you need OOMPH you will want to purchase their PRO line of batteries which provide 1.5 volts (smart locks, photo/video gear, etc). That is a great product also.I recommend you have a way of marking your batteries. I found light colored nail polish to do the trick for me. I have each pair of batteries marked with a different color and have done the same thing for triplets. This way, you can tell right off which battery has issues (the time will eventually come), and you will be able to keep the marked groups on the same charge/discharge cycle. Simply this - marking your batteries will help you get longer use out of them.

Great Power but are slightly fatter than traditional Non Rechargable batteries like Duracel/Rayovac
*** Update: Changing my review to 4 stars. Even tho the diameter of the batteries is a little larger than the standard AA battery is and it they wont fit into my drink mixer, they still work fine in most things . The seller took care of me after learning of my issue. These batteries do pretty well, i learned about them on the Youtube channel called project Farm, and the project farm guy reviewed several batteries and these scored pretty high, which is why i bot them. cheers****Batteries charge up fine and power devices well, the problem is the Diameter of the battery. For devices where the battery fits into a definded space these batteries will not fit . My drink mixer has holes where an AA size battery barely fits into. These PowerOwl batteries will not go in, unless your force them... and then its almost impossible to get them babck out once they need recharged eventually. I got out my digital calipers and checked the diameter of a regular alkaline duracell and rayovac AA battery and they are both .542" diameter, these recharable PowerOwl AA batteries all measured close to .570". They are fine if they do not need to go into a tight defined space. Apparently the manufacturing tolerances where these batteries are made in china are not as tightly controlled as where they make name brand batteries like Rayovac or Duracell etc....
