These work wonderfully on our steep steps. They were extremely easy to put on, they don’t stand out on our wooden steps and the definitely make a difference on how slick our steps are.

My dog has trouble walking on hardwood floors and is especially afraid of stairs. I recently moved into a two story house and purchased these to help him adjust. Within a day he was going up and down them no problem. They were simple and straightforward to install and very effective!

Researched a few options for anti-slip treads on wood stairs, this product seemed to be the best option. Installation was a snap, I used scrap cardboard as a guide for spacing away from the wall so they'd end up centered on the tread. Careful alignment is critical since once they start adhering you are committed. Pretty pleased at the appearance, they aren't invisible but they do blend in ok. Treads now have enough grip that my arthritic dog can get upstairs (and down) without difficulty. I haven't tried removing any so I can't vouch for the hot water towel method. Sweeping is a little more difficult but not horribly so.

This is a great idea, as I did not want to put carpet on my stairs, in an attempt to display the beautiful hard wood floors I spend so much time polishing.So, when I read that this product is transparent and will not detract from the floors but provide traction...I was excited.1. While not completely invisible, these treads are not noticeable. I can see my pretty wood treads through them. They were pretty easy to install and came up easily to reposition when I didn’t get it just right. I don’t know about durability, but they seem to be of good quality.

Product seems to be fine for some applications, just not mine. Installed only one strip to test with my flooring materials (manufactured wood ). Did not blend in well with the dark wood, but was still considering using up the stairs until I pulled the test strip of the step and it took some of the flooring materials with it. Tried to fix the spots that peeled up with glue with a wood pen and still doesn't look right. I would not consider these for dark stairs or material that is not sealed hard wood.

I had to get these strips out of necessity and was quick to put them down before the kids got home. They went on so easily and nicely, I was really excited. Just as I was putting one of the last strips down I saw a small peice of lint just under the strip, and pulled it up just a little to grab the lint and the strip ripped the finish off my stairs. I didn't even have the chance to smooth it down and it still stuck and grabbed the finish right off the step. I was VERY MUCH LESS than happy.... to put it nicely. I read that they were easy to remove and saw all the good reviews so I didn't bother really the instructions, though I should have. And I also should have tested a small area before installing them all. VERY dissapointed but I'm not willing to tear off all the tape just to refinish my stairs.

We recently got wood stairs from carpet and our dog had a hard time to go up and down so these clear tapes are awesome - invisible and safe for our babv dog.
