Best beginners AC book
I do not have that much understanding of AC circuits but I have to study it for the FE exam. This book showed me how AC is different from DC in a clear logical practical manner with no techno-garble, just plain simple english.

A great fountation course!
A little pricey, and at first glance perhaps a little too simple, but actually an excellent text. Many books on electronics dedicate a page or two to inductors and capacitors in circuits, such as the essential: "The Art of Electronics". However you are often left feeling a little uncertain to apply the ideas alone. This book however provides a very through and rigorous introduction to capacitors, inductors, resistors in parallel and series ac circuits. Phasor notation, complex number representation and manipulation for reactive circuits is also covered, with the final chapters calculating resonance circuit effects. It is a very readable text and can be done so at great speed! The maths is very basic and very thoroughly introduced and explained, helping to give the reader a real feel for what is going on, but also leaving them with a solid basic foundation to tackle more complex systems and applications.
