I bought this to replace the 5 year old one on my pool filter. It was a quick and easy replacement. The item works exactly as expected. For an item that will likely need to be replaced every few years, I was glad to find one at such a reasonable price. Item shipped when it was expected, and was decently packaged.

I use the meter for measuring tire air pressure. The scale of the meter is great to give good PSI resolution. Tire pressures range between 35 and to 15 psi and this meter is just right for that while allowing higher pressures to be read up to 60 psi. When installed onto to a portable compressor and when the compressor is turned on, the needle will bounce rapidly and when the compressor is turned off the needle instantly steadies at the accurate static psi. The housing is metal and the meter is perfectly adequate for accuracy and apparent ruggedness for my air pressure application

The gauge arrives with no Teflon tape, so you’ll need to use your own. I put three wraps around the threads, and screwed it in. The whole replacement operation took about 40 seconds, and I was in business. My filter is a Sta-Rite PLM-150, and this fits perfectly. The outside diameter of the copper/brass, threaded part of this gauge is 0.54” or roughly ½” in diameter. This is called a ¼” NPT fitting, not a ½” NPT fitting. I know, it’s confusing, but the product page mentions ½” NPT, and this is not, it’s ¼” NPT. This works well, and the price is right. I’ll buy another when the need arises, and update this review. Seams to function fine. The transparent plastic face popped off fairly easily several times while installing but it popped back on without a problem. I use it for water pressure, the needle sometimes bounces up and down with changing pressure but it settles down pretty fast. UPDATE. The gauge went over 60 psi one time and now it is no longer accurate ( I can’t fault the gauge too much for that ). The plastic face falls of when I brush up against it with my hand ,even very lightly. Until I exceeded the specifications it functioned well

It was easy to screw into the place I needed it to screw into (a pool filter). For the price it seems to be fine. However, I'm keeping an eye on it based on the many reviews I've seen on here. I'll update as needed. To date it hasn't been tested heavily. It has rained and my gauge does not have water under the plastic cover yet. My last gauge plastic cover got cloudy to the point of being unable to read the gauge. So far I haven't had that happen to this one.
