All the dogs love it. There is tons of room for a huge golden retriever in perfect comfort. For washing, only the inner cushion comes out. It is made of hairy plush, which is hard to keep clean so we have slipped an easily washed heavy cotton cover over it. The only downside is that is is incredibly heavy, so when cleaning it is an effort, even for a man, to lift it. Review: Good, but could be a better for price - Unfortunately this bed does not keep its shape (my doberman has sprawled across is, so one side of the donut is now flat) the middle part of the bed also looses its thickness after a couple of weeks so we have had to add our own foam otherwise it just like sitting on the floor. These points aside, both of my dogs absolutely love this bed and there is plenty of room for both. Initially a brilliant bed, however, after a few months the padding in the middle is all misshapen. I tried washing it today cover is hard to get off and harder to get back on. Struggle to fit this size in the wash and the central pad is not removable so now it's even more misshapen than before. Sure the dog is still comfy ish but it looks a mess now. Absolutely brilliant bed, arrived quickly and received lots of email updates. This is a real quality bed, very heavy and sturdy, well padded soft and cosy.
