The unbreakable tin is safe in the shower, and it's impossible to spill a bar of shampoo. If my shampoo tin catches any water in it during the shower I just drain it out and let it dry on the counter overnight. This bar shampoo gets a little softer with use and is malleable enough that I can dig a little piece out and work it into my scalp. My hair dresser told me to flip my hair over and scrub the shampoo into the back underside of my hair, and up to my temples and forehead, and then massage or scrub into the top of the head last. I've got short-medium length wavy hair and only 2-3 passes across the top of my head with the bar are necessary to get a good lather going. The scent is nice, not overpowering, and the soap rinses clean and easy.
