I could doze off even when I am standing in a conference meeting room with all others watching me, extremely embarrassing! I have searched years and tried sooo many things bought from Amazon, licorice, dang shen powder, acidophilus, american ginseng, spirulina, slippery elm, bromelain, papaya enzyme, betain HCL, aloe vera, fish oil, inulin, gingko biloba, amylase, barley malt powder, curcumin, swedish bitters, pancreatin, magnesium, caffeine pills, cranberry, etc, etc. Most of them are helpless, a few of them do harm to me, and a few of them helped a little bit but were never enough. I have been working in a hospital in Phoenix for years and never wanted to give up my searching and trying. I went to different doctors many times and no one even have a clue what's happening to me. Finally, I noticed something that Chinese medicine calls it "sputum wet type constitution" (I guess it is close to "water retention" in English world). This Poria Cocos (or Fu Ling in Chinese) is one of the best thing for curing "sputum wetness" (not really sure I translated correctly). Frustrated by so many things that I have tried but not really helpful, I decided to try this one first because it is much cheaper than other vendors. I just put 1/4 teaspoon in my drinking water per day, and it almost worked immediately after first day's lunch. I barely feel the sleepiness in the last whole week! I also put a drop of Bai Zhu in my drinking water, because it is believed that Bai Zhu + Poria Cocos is the best combination for fighting "sputum wetness". I did not pay attention to this vendor's name, and did not expect that the product is likely shipped from China and took 20 days to arrive. But with the great result so far, and much cheaper price than others, I am not complaining anything.I will keep trying things like the best dosage of Poria Cocos, and with or without Bai Zhu drop, if I will have any side effect or not (internet says I can take ten times more dose of Poria Cocos without side effect, but I have to see if it is true on me). I will update here if I will have more discoveries. So far I felt this Poria Cocos alone works much better than Bai Zhu alone, and combination of the two makes the result slightly better. God bless me that I seem already solved my years of suffering from excessive sleepiness after lunch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great bargain for the price that stabilizes my moods in the morning *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2020* I have researched and taken many many neutriceuticals and vitamins and whatnot for strong moody anxiety and depression in the morning. This stuff works in stabliizing and calming me without making me drowsy, which is exactly what it is purported to do. I had another brand before which dissolved better. But this dissolves well enough and the quality is up to par, certainly well well worth the price. I mix it with milk and hot water and sometimes bone broth in the morning and it tastes great with a little stevia and it really helps calm and stabilize my mind.
