Are these poi made in Hawaii?

Not sure. But if you have a beginner, do not buy these. They are very hard and hurt if you get hit with them. I bought these, but then paid someone else to make a set that's softer for my 7 year old. These were a waste.

What is the material used in the product?

Materials used are yarn and spongy material wrapped in plastic then wrapped with yarn. If you hit yourself with them they just bounce off of you.
