good mallets for toddlers to play with
I bought these mallets as toys for my toddlers to bang on their drum set. I reduced one star because the plastic round part of the mallet may pop off and could be a choking hazard. It can easily be fixed and I really think they're okay to give the kids as long as your watching them (or your kids have matured enough to know not to put the plastic in their mouths). Given that toddlers have a knack for breaking things and/or losing things, I think these were worth buying.

ok, not exactly soft
bought this because it seems to have a small and soft head to be used on my hapi drum. the ones that i have now are larger and make to loud a volume giving bad reverberations. the head is small but abit too hard for my liking. the handles are long, and seems to be made of cheap plastic. it does give a lower volume compared to my bigger head mallets but because its rather hard, theres a knocking sound generated also that i dont like. then again, its cheap so i cant complain.

Mostly a gift for our condo neighbors
We got our 3 year old a nice set of bells (xylophone) for Christmas because she loves music so much and we love finding small instruments she can play. By noon Christmas day, I had googled "quietest mallets to play bells with" and ended up buying these. We are all very pleased, and I'm sure our neighbors are too. There is still a very nice sound, but I no longer worry about dogs in other states hearing my daughter play her bells as I did with the wooden mallets that came with her bell set (which I did otherwise love also) - It's the Lyons 25 note (G - G) Bell Set with case for anyone looking.

Good Soft Rubber Mallets
I like these mallets for their light weight - the sticks are thin, flexible and very light weight which I like a lot.As for the rubber tips they are a bit harder than what I expected. The tone I get when using them on hand drums (for special effects) or bells or finger cymbals is a bit muffled sounding though. They would probably be good to use when playing a glockenspiel for a softer sound. Recommended

Inexpensive and that is what I was looking for but ...
Inexpensive and that is what I was looking for but the handles are shorter and thinner than professional mallets. If you are looking for that then these fit the bill but I was hoping for a more standard size of mallet.

Meh
For an inexpensive pair of mallets, this isn't bad. Just remember you get what you pay for. They don't really give a good sound to the instrument I bought them for and they look as though they will break with regular play.

Works for classroom
These were good replacements for our classroom xylophones. Durable, good size and produce a nice tone

Four Stars
Good for intended use, and for playing sounds out of substrates to record and sample.
