Good All-Rounder
The instruction booklet is very comprehensive & gives clear, step by step instructions on how to set everything up. Fortunately I’m pretty good with technology but I can see that it could be somewhat daunting for someone who isn’t. There are many choices & a lot of functions so if you’re not too confident get someone to do it for you. The volume control is very effective & I can hear callers clearly at less than maximum volume. I would like a choice of more than 8 rings before the answer machine kicks in but you can intercept the call if you pick up while they’re leaving a message. Range is good & reaches to the end of my garden & beyond. The speaker phone function is very useful especially when you’re held in a queue. It’s early days as I’ve only been using it for a short time but so far I am very happy with it. Will update this review if anything else occurs to me that may be of help to prospective buyers.

Very good value for money
Great phone. Easy to set up. Only negative is if you set individual rings for people you get the ring tone on the headset & a different ring tone on the base at the same time.

OK
Not the best phone; the display is very poor and the volume is not great either, but I don't use a house phone very often so i didn't want to spend too much and it was certainly cheap.

A simple solution
I've gone for a rating of 4 stars on this, because there are a couple of niggles.Overall, it is an average DECT type telephone, if you've used one before, you know what to expect. That said, it's time for those niggles I mention on the opening line:Firstly, the product images used here to show you what you are getting aren't 100% accurate. They show the handset as having a nice silver-white type LCD display with nice bold black numbers and letters, but in reality, that's not quite the case.Even when the display back-light is on, the screen has more of a slightly sepia tinted, silvery display, and the numbers and letters aren't as bold and black as those used in the product images.Secondly, the claim that this is for those with hearing issues...I find that slightly hard to swallow, as because even when only a few feet from the base-station, the handset has a slight background hiss, not unlike that which can be associated with tinnitus. It's not overly loud, but it is there, more so than with some other DECT units I've used. It's not enough for me to want to return it, but it is enough for me to say I wouldn't make the same purchase again. This is a 'good enough' telephone, but it isn't good enough to convince me that I need more products from this company. For the price, I guess I shouldn't really complain, so I won't...However I will grumble under my breath, and give my money to some other company next time.

Good size and usability.
Usability is very comfortable, good range right into the garden etc. Slightly awkward in setting up as the screen is on the small size but once you get into the rhythm of its functionality it becomes straight forward. Overall very good with a good storage time for messages left.

get better instructions - surely that cannot be difficult
could not find any way to access the handset settings. this made the whole thing pretty much useless - clearly there needs to be a much better set of instructions.A few days later I binned it and replaced it with another that was both simpler and cheaper.

Good product. Can't fault it. Can Now
Being a member of the older generation, we found the instruction book was printedfar to small. It neede a magnefying glass to read. Once we got that organised everything went to plan and we got set up.Everything works well and the sound is perfect for the hard of hearing. We dont need the answering machine so have not bothered with it. Having found the instructions on Google .....print them any size you want.Since writing the above ... it is being returned as faulty. Not good after such a short time
